Great update! The pool looks awesome, it seems like you guys have that pool to yourselves a lot! And the beach is beautiful, I would love to do a few days at the beach when we go to FL, but...I just can't spare any Disney days!

I'll just go along with what everyone else has said..and...yes, it would be so nice to be on the beach in Florida right now. And P.F. Chang's is great...love the lettuce cups.

Markie looks super intense in the coaching pictures. I'm sure his kids are lucky to have him.

I would LOVE it if Markie moved to coach at the High School to Marv ...Then maybe Kathy would come for lots of visits and I could meet her too!!!

Oh my goodness! Your pictures have me longing for a FL beach vacation!!!! Especially because the high here today was 30! I know it could be a lot colder or snowing!!

DH and I went to the Sarasota area in March of 2010 and it was fabulous!! I LOVE the Gulf Coast!!!

You guys look so relaxed and tan! that's a great vacation to me!!

We have snow flurries right now, so I am longing for the beach again myself. We LOVE the Gulf Coast...much better than the Atlantic Coast in our opinion.

OHH I loved the beach pictures, they were AWESOME!!! And now I want some chinese food...I wonder why...

Mark and I went to PF Changs this past Saturday...it was sooooooooooo good.

I love the photos of the beach, pool and condo area ......... sounds like you had a really enjoyable time at Marco!

Mmmmm, PF Changs!

Markie is busy with coaching and it really worried me with the girlfriend with his being away so much during wrestling season. But she has been very understanding and actually going to watch a lot of it.

Mmmmmm is right; we try to go at least once every month or so.

It looks like you guys had beautiful weather on Marcos!! You both look incredibly happy to just be relaxing and getting to spend time with great friends

So sad that you had to say bye to sweet Andy though. I think it's very special that he was able to spend that time at Disney with you! He looks like such a nice son Kathy.

I love all of your BFF pics! You and Nicki, er I mean Thelma and Louise, are just shining with happiness in each other's company. So sweet! That pic of Andy and Mark with Nicki is adorable too, in spite of Marv's comment about her standing in a hole.

Thelma and Louise...yep, that's us. We do shine, don't we? I miss her so much when we're not there. And you know, Marv...always has something to say.

Dinner looked like such fun! The food looks good and the Mai Tai's even better, right Kathy?

Looks like you had fun shopping too. Did you keep a running Starbucks tally??

No tally for Starbucks becasue we kept arguing over whose turn it was to buy.

Oooh, PF Chang's is my favorite restaurant! Well, that and the Melting Pot. I see that you ordered the Mongolian Beef. That's good, isn't it? And the triple chocolate mousse cup too! You have excellent taste, that's what I order when I go (because it can be made gluten free!).

I usually get the Sweet and Sour Pork; I had the sesame chicken when we went last weekend and it was very good. I love those little dessert cups...just the right amount to top off the meal.

This picture is very sweet, you and Mark look like two teenagers out on a date! Love your sweatshirt too, I almost bought that last trip.

Teenagers might be a stretch. I got that sweatshirt for $14.99 at the outlet store...and I love it.


Loved all of Markie's coaching pictures. His passion comes through clearly! I love this pic, his hand are a blur!

Markie (as is Andy) are very passionate about their sports. I am so happy they are both giving back after all the support they got in their respective sports.


How sweet that his adorable girlfriend is taking care of him. She sounds like a keeper!

Definitely a keeper and I wouldn't be surprised if there wasn't an announcement in the next six months or so.

Looking forward to your final Marco Island day AND your PTR! You are one busy lady Kathy.

I hope to do our final day tonight and the PTR is going (I thought you'd already popped over, but maybe not?

I'm glad his employer is willing to work with him on it. DW has been coaching varsity volleyball at a local HS for about 5 years now. Her employer doesn't let her go early and doesn't exactly hesitate to keep her a little late... even on game days.

Fortunately she has worked with good JV coaches who actually teach at the school, so they've been able to take care of things until she can get there. She's been known to have to drive straight from work to the gym for away games and still not even make it there until after the JV game has started.


Great updates about your time at Marco. Not much to say other than it looks very relaxing and it looks like you guys had a lot of fun.

Part of it is that the Vice President of the company has a son who wrestles on the team so they've been willing to work with him regarding his work schedule which has been awesome. Once the season is over, he'll go back to a normal 9 - 5 day and more money.

That's too bad about your wife's employer not letting her leave a little early.

Marco is very relaxing.

How long did you say it took to drive to Marco Island? Your pictures are so beautiful that it makes me want to go there. It looks so peaceful and quiet.

Lisa, it is about 3 to 3-1/2 hours (depending on who is doing the driving, right Nicki?). It is very peaceful and quiet.

Great pictures of Markie at the wrestling duals! Wish we had a good, young energetic coach for our local HS! Things have really gone downhill since Matthew wrestled. Markie wouldn't be interested in a job down South would he???

More great Marco pics! Nice that Mark is keeping some new skills in practice just in case. One day he may need that "skimming the pool" skill when you guys move to Florida! Especially loved the flower picture....great job! And I saw the Hidden Mickey in that one picture.

We have only eaten at a PFChangs once, but I'm thinking we need to go back......soon!

Molly, if you hadn't been referring to prayer I would have made a comment about you saying you had a little heart. But I guess I won't mention that was what made the Grinch so mean since that definitely wouldn't apply to you anyway.......

Thanks, Marv. I've tried getting Andy to go to Florida to get a teaching job (they are starving for teachers) since they have year round baseball, but he loves Chicago and won't leave. Markie is so content with where he is at (and part of that has to do with the love of his life, too).

Thank you, Jen. The last three years, we've seen two other people down at the pool the entire time we've been there. Most of them are senior citizens and they leave when they arrive. They must think we are party animals or something.

The boys love Markie...both the high school kids and the youth club. He is intense, but also knows how to have fun with them to keep them loose.
