Uppy, Uppy, Mr. Andy -- Update -- WRAP UP -- Post 1346, Page 90

I love the jellyfish pic! All of the other pictures are awesome, too, of course! But that picture is very cool! (science geek in me coming out ;))

What a fun day at Marco and what a gorgeous place!!!

we get to have a working lunch or an "idea exchange" They don't like to let us have fresh air. I was thinking about staying in town Tuesday afternoon to see the sights, but I haven't been home much the past few Weeks and I'm already looking forward to getting back home. I don't know how I did it when my old job had me on the road 4 nights each week.

Well that stinks! Perhaps another visit. You should go home...I'm sure your wife needs you with the little one and the new one to come.

Wow! What a great 1st full day at Marco Island! :thumbsup2

From the beginning at the beach, to the end at the Japanese restaurant, I was excited to read your TR.

Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to reading your next post. :surfweb:

Thanks, Lisa. We had so much fun that day and evening. I know I wanted to get an update done last night, but I was so tired after baking cookies all weekend.

Another great Marco update! Your pics there always look so wonderful and relaxing! Love the picture of Mark snoozing in the chair on the beach! The sound of the waves always make me sleepy! Of course, seeing jellyfish always keeps me away from the water!

Mark can sleep ANYWHERE! The beach is beautiful and peaceful though.

Da Ru Ma looks and sounds wonderful! Mai Tais and Japanese food......who could ask for more than that???

It is a favorite restaurant, that's for sure.

I was going to ask why they made Nicki stand in a hole...... :rolleyes1

You better hope she doesn't read that!

Malls huh? I think I might plan to skip that update....... ;)

; two malls and then a store on the road home; and we had lunch with Toddleduck at Johnny Rocket's!

I would have probably gone with the attitude too...... :goodvibes

You better DEFINITELY hope she doesn't read that!

Marco Island looks like a nice, relaxing spot. I'm glad Andy got to meet up with Nicki and Todd. I'm sure he'll want to come back!

I am sure he will too...he had a great time.

I saw the jellyfish picture and all I could think of was: "Kathy...takin' on the jellies..."

:lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao::lmao:

What a fun day at Marco and what a gorgeous place!!!

Amy...they are cool to look at, but I certainly don't want to get in the water with them. :scared1:

Marco is gorgeous and makes it hard to decide whether we want to live in that area or go towards the Orlando area. :confused3

I wasn't going to do an update, because I've had a very worrisome day over my youngest son. But then I thought if I did an update, it would keep my mind from worrying so much. For those of you not friends with me on FB, Markie has been having headaches for about two weeks...sometimes with a shooting pain in the side/back of his head ten times a day with dizziness. Of course, being a kid (he'll always be a kid to me) and a guy, he didn't go to the doctor. He asked me what I thought it could be and I said what it IS is a visit to the doctor. He called Alisha (his girlfriend) and she took him to her doctor. They did the normal things -- blood pressure, etc., then sent him for blood work and a cat scan. The blood work came back fine; the cat scan was inconclusive...doesn't show anything. The doctor wants him to see a specialist and get an MRI as an MRI shows a lot more than a cat scan. The bad news -- he can't get in until January 3. Let me just say that MOM is NOT happy at all that he has to wait three weeks. He promised me if it got worse he would go to the ER. He is spending the night with his Alisha (well, that's not really new...he spends almost every night at her place); she made him dinner and is keeping an eye on him (she is a nursing student). I love this gal and I know she will take care of him; but, I am his mom, and I hate not being there...23 years old or not!Okay, let's move to an update.

We are up to Saturday, October 1

Mark and Andy dropped me off at the Dunkin' Donuts to meet Nicki rather than her drive all the way to the Island to get me since they had to go that way anyway to take Andy to the airport. NO, we did not go in for coffee...we were on our way to the mall where we would be having our first Starbucks of the day. Drinks and breakfast ordered, we sat and chatted until the stores were open.

Before I go any further...I took no pictures at Starbucks, while shopping or at lunch.

Our drinks finished, it was time to shop. I got some great deals at the Disney Store, a sweater at Dress Barn, a few little things here and there. I can't remember what, if anything, Nicki bought. We then got our second coffee and headed to our second mall. We did some shopping for Nicki and I got Mark his Disney lotion for the office. We then went to pick up Todd for lunch and went to Johnny Rocket's...it was just as good as last time.

After taking Todd back to work, Nicki and I started the drive back to the Island. I asked her to stop at the seashell shop on the way because I needed a new frame and we got another coffee for the drive back.

Nicki dropped me off and we both were going to refresh and then meet for dinner.

Now the hard part...I cannot remember where we went to dinner this evening (this is why I try to do my TR's faster than this). I know it was good and we had a great time, as always. Here are a few pictures from our dinner this evening.

Waiting at the dock for them to arrive (I want to think maybe we ate at The Dock...but I truly can't remember):

After saying good night after another fun evening, Mark and I stopped at one of the gift shops on the Island to pick something up for the boys. Even while NOT at Disney, we try on a hat:

I believe I made it an early night as my "little sister" tired me out from shopping.

Up next, Sunday and a relaxing day.

Kathy, I am FINALLY all caught up and had so much to comment on; however, it all went out of my head when I read about Markie. My prayers are with you and I WILL come back and comment better, just had to let you know this prayer warrior is on it! Love you!!!:grouphug::hug::grouphug::hug:

You best be skeered my man...I may be little but I pack a punch ....TO THE KNEE CAPS! :lmao:

And here I thought Marv loved me :upsidedow
You KNOW I do, Nicki! :flower3: I just thought you were a lot taller since your Avatar pic shows you towering over Todd! :rolleyes1

I know that the waiting is so hard for anyone much less for a mother. Our kids are never too old for us to worry about them. They can be 3 or 23 and it wouldn't matter....they are our babies forever.

Great update! It sounds like you and Nicki had a wonderful day of shopping and chatting. Dinner looks amazing not matter where you ate. ;)

Kathy you must be so worried about your son, Markie. I pray everything is fine with him and they figure out what is causing his headaches.

I LOVE the hat pic with Mr Mark ! :lmao:

Hi Santa...you scamp you

I am very worried about Markie too so you better call me and let me know what is going on with my nephew (well since I am your kid sister he is my nephew right?) And kids are always little to their parents...ask my mother who still treats this 39 year old chick like a toddler :lmao:

We ate at the Boathouse that night...remember Mark picking on us because Todd had a taco salad and I had a club sandwich? No fish for us :rotfl:

Hi Kathy, I hope its nothing serious with Mark! Now I get to worry about you and Ann stressing out! :grouphug:

Awww  Kathy! I understand why you are worried about Markie and want answers as quickly as possible. It would seem to me he could request an MRI referal another location and get in quicker? Or is he in a small remote area where choices are limited? Until then - lots of prayers for you and him!

Loving Marco Island... and your comment about trying to decide if you and Mark should move there or closer to Orlando... I would love to relocate to someplace like Marco someday. How close is it to Orlando?

Hey Kat... the baby is taking another nap so in-between doing laundry I am stopping by to try to catch up. Mel is going out tonight so I might be able to get up another update..

Great Thanksgiving pics! (Speaking of pics, I have to get those pics I owe you off the camera)

I love the pics from DHS! The blue sky with the big white puffy clouds make me want to e there now!!!

I
Then it was France and time for my Slush:

Great picture!!!!!

Looks like everyone had a great time drinking around the world!!! If I was there I couldn't have done the tequila shots. :sad2: I can't drink it. There was one time I did too many tequila shots and I ended up sleeping in my friends front yard. :rotfl2::rotfl2: :rotfl2::rotfl2:

THIS IS HILARIOUS!!!!! :rotfl2::rotfl2:
(nice job with the photoshopping Barry)

Then Mark and Andy did Carrousel of Progress; I wasn't in the mood for a nap, so I skipped it.
HAHA!!! Guess what? We have never seen the COP.

I love how you still give away the balloon in honor of your dad...

Love all the pics from the parade!

I'm sad to see your time in Disney has come to an end but I know you and your BFF had a great time in Marco!

Sorry to hear about Markie. I will be praying for him (and you too!)

What good timing.... Someone is calling me from the bedroom.... pirate:

I certainly hope young Mark is ok, and that he can have the MRI done sooner. I hope everything works out. Keep us posted!

Sounds like it was another enjoyable day in Florida, both with the shopping and Restaurant That Shall Not Be Named. I'm glad Mark's ability to find chic hats is not limited to Disney!

so sorry to hear about Markie....hope there will be a cancellation and can get the MRI done sooner....waiting is so hard....prayers coming your way!
