Uppy, Uppy, Mr. Andy -- Update -- WRAP UP -- Post 1346, Page 90

Wonderful first day in San Marco. Too bad Andy had to leave already :sad1:, but what a great time I'm sure he had! So great that Nicky got to meet him and you changed up your routine to put your favorite dinner first.

BTW- very cute bathing suit you have on there! Love it! The beach looks fabulous!

The beach looks just lovely when its a chilly 29 here in PA.

My thought exactly. Those pictures are really tempting with this cold air hanging over the Midwest.

What's the Chicago temperature doing the next few days? I have to head that way for a conference.

Love the shots of Marco Island...it looks so pretty :thumbsup2

I'm glad you spent some time at the beach (would love to be on one right about now!) and enjoyed your dinner together.

All caught up!! I can't believe your Disney trip is over already! Boo!! I do love the photoshopped pics though! We took my sister, her DH and their 3 kids on their first trip to WDW a few years ago and the crane was up to take the lights down. I felt terrible that their first pics in front of the castle had the crane in them so I did the same thing! Ahhh, the magic of photoshop!!! LOVE it!!

Your Marco Island trip looks lovely! That water is such a beautiful color!

Great Marco Island report!! The restaurant seems similar to Teppon Edo !! Loved the beach pix especially today as it is freezing out !!!

great pictures of Marco! the beach and water look wonderful!

poor Andy, did his mom and dad wear him out :lmao:

dinner looks so yummy!

I love your first day of Marco, it has me reliving your trip here and all the fun we had.....and yes, I am way to short for my own liking but I have a big personality to make up for it...but Todd says its a big attitude LOL!

I LOVE all my days at Marco. :goodvibes What does Todd know? :rotfl2::rotfl2:

Thanks, MaryEllen. I was sad Andy only had one day at Marco, but I'm so glad he got to meet Nicki and Todd.

Thanks....I got that suit at Sears.

It's been cold here the last couple of days too...but today is is a balmy 45. :)

Where is your conference? It's supposed to be in the upper 30's and low 40's the next several days and no preciptitation until Thursday (of course, because we are driving to Dubuque that day).

Thanks, Tanz. Marco is really beautiful.

We had a blat that entire day and evening.

Melissa, thank you. The Disney portion went fast. But as I've said in the past, at least now we go to Marco and NOT home after Disney.

I hate that darn crane...annoying.

Yes, the restaurant is similar to Teppan Edo (although we've never been to Teppan).

I'm surprised that we've had such a mild winter thus far.

Great update, looks like you had fun at the beach and a yummy dinner with Nicki and Todd :)

Yikes to the jellyfish photo, we saw tons and tons of them from our deck on the ship when we were pulling out of Port Canaveral. It was insane how many of them there were, just clusters and clusters! :scared1:

Love the Marco pictures .. looks like a wonderful place ! :thumbsup2

Thanks; we really love it there, and if all goes well, we'll be living near there in four years.

Thanks, Stefy. We had a great day and dinner at Da Ru Ma is always yummy.

Two years ago, we saw lots and lots of jellyfish; this year there were not quite so many -- thank God!

Marriott magnificent mile. Nice hotel. Just got here a couple of hours ago and waiting to hear from middlepat for a quick disdad meet this evening.

Looks like a fun first day! Love the pic of Mark sunning on the beach. Yummy dinner and cute pics.

Let me know if you are free for lunch while you are here. I work Downtown at Dearborn and Madison.

What a nice relaxing day at Marco. I am sure that you were happy to be able to introduce Andy to Nicki and Todd.

Thanks, Lisa. I'm glad they got to meet too.

THanks, Mary. He could just sit on that beach for hours (me...not so much...I'd be a lobster). Dinner was yummy.

I'm going to try to get an update done in the next 30 minutes if our youngest son would STOP calling me to discuss Christmas plans which he has now changed at least three times. :lmao::lmao::lmao:

we get to have a working lunch or an "idea exchange" They don't like to let us have fresh air. I was thinking about staying in town Tuesday afternoon to see the sights, but I haven't been home much the past few Weeks and I'm already looking forward to getting back home. I don't know how I did it when my old job had me on the road 4 nights each week.

Wow! What a great 1st full day at Marco Island! :thumbsup2

From the beginning at the beach, to the end at the Japanese restaurant, I was excited to read your TR.

Thanks for sharing, and looking forward to reading your next post. :surfweb:

Another great Marco update! Your pics there always look so wonderful and relaxing! Love the picture of Mark snoozing in the chair on the beach! The sound of the waves always make me sleepy! Of course, seeing jellyfish always keeps me away from the water!

Da Ru Ma looks and sounds wonderful! Mai Tais and Japanese food......who could ask for more than that???

She really is a tiny little thing:
I was going to ask why they made Nicki stand in a hole...... :rolleyes1
Next, Mark takes Andy to the airport and Nicki and Kathy hit the malls.
Malls huh? I think I might plan to skip that update....... ;)
.....and yes, I am way to short for my own liking but I have a big personality to make up for it...but Todd says its a big attitude LOL!
I would have probably gone with the attitude too...... :goodvibes

Marco Island looks like a nice, relaxing spot. I'm glad Andy got to meet up with Nicki and Todd. I'm sure he'll want to come back!

I saw the jellyfish picture and all I could think of was: "Kathy...takin' on the jellies..."
