Hello. My daughter in Disney with her cheer team for a comp this weekend. The coaches ended up getting the girls a 3 day hopper pass. Would I be able to upgrade it to a DVC annual gold pass?(we are DVC members). I called member services today & they were unsure since she is part of a group.I figured this place has very knowledgeable people. In the bottom corner it says 3 day park hopper- festival. Thanks for your help in advance

If she is named on the deed you may have a shot, but if not, then you're out of luck. You should remove the ticket number from your post.

A family member that lives in the same house does not need to be on the deed to qualify for a DVC AP.

However there are tickets that can't be upgraded but I'm not certain about that kind OP. I've attended conventions and gotten tickets that couldn't be upgraded.

I'd give it shot if your daughter would be allowed to spend time at Guest Services. (Maybe her chaperones will not allow her to leave the group).

Give her your blue membership card and make sure she has some type of ID that shows she lives at your address and a means to pay. If the hopper ticket is up-gradable (as Kat4Disney says, not all group tickets are), she can at least ask. Make sure she knows about how much she should pay for the upgrade and that she checks the expiration date to make sure the gold annual pass expires one year from the date she upgrades (or the first time she used the hopper ticket, if she did that before upgrading). Her last opportunity to try for an upgrade is before she leaves the park on the last day she uses the hopper ticket).

Good luck!

Slightly off topic, but are resale buyers allowed to upgrade/purchase gold APs? I've been trying to find this answer everywhere, but can't find anything definitive.

Yes - IF they purchased prior to 4/4/2016. They should have received a blue membership card. Those who purchased after 4/4/2016, do NOT receive the blue membership card.

Thanks, Carol! I figured those with blue membership cards are considered "full" members, regardless of how they purchased.

There is a thread on this, but the answer is no. Recent resale buyers cannot purchase a Gold Pass. I'm in ROFR on my first contract now, so I'm trying to get ahead of the game and learn everything I can. Users report that even if you're a resale purchaser, the Gold Pass will show up as an available option on the website. However, when you go to redeem the voucher at WDW you will be denied. I haven't read if it's possible to get a refund. I plan on purchasing a 25 point add on direct right away to be able to get full member benefits.

Respectfully, the answer is no ONLY if you purchased ALL of your resale contracts after 4/4/2016.

That's what I did - and I am glad I did. Good luck.
