**DVC Newbie Alert**

Hi everyone! First off, I'm not even sure if we're going to get our DVC membership cards in time, but if so I was hoping for some help (we just sent our final payment on Monday to TTS, how long does it normally take??).

We got 7 day MYW tickets, hopper, no expiration via Airmiles. For the WDW website, I saw the ticket value is 438 (adults) and 403 (kids). With that said, is this math correct?:

This is for adults, similar idea for kids:
Premium Annual Pass= +599
DVC discount= -100
7 day MYW = -438
Total = 61 dollars (plus tax)

Does this seem correct? Even though I used airmiles to purchase, will I still get credit? Do I upgrade before or after I use the ticket? :confused3

And finally last question, do my kids still get the AP discount or only DH and myself?

Thanks!

Anyone in your immediate family...that is, family residing at your address can get the discount on the pass. I can't comment on the credit you will get for your pass, but this is what happened to me.

DH and I purchased our park hoppers at Shades of Green. These are discounted without tax charged. We decided to exchange them to AP's. We were given credit on each one for the purchase price had we bought them at the gate. That went towards the AP minus $100. It would seem that they would do the same thing for you, but I am not an expert.

My understanding is that you need to use the ticket once to get the full gate price of the ticket. If not, the CM can see that the ticket was a discounted ticket and only give what you paid for it. If you have any other question, see this link, http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1452684 . Cheshire Figment is the best for ticket info!!!

As far as the math goes: Price of PAP is 599. DVC discount for PAP is 125. Ticket credit is 438. Cost of the upgrade is 36 plus tax.

Looking at your sig, I see you are traveling to WDW in November to SSR. Yu should certainly be in the DVC Computer system by ten, but you may not have received your membership cards. The good news is you can stop by the DVC sales office at SSR, as long as you are inthesystem, and pick-up some temporary DVC Membership cards, and then get your APs at Guest Services at DtD. :)

Once we used them for one day, and once we just traded them in. Both times we got a credit of what we would have paid for the pass, not what was left on the pass. Even though our passes were discounted, and it says right on it that they are military Shades of Green passes, we were not charged the difference between the price we paid and what the general public pays. Now, maybe this was because we are retired military, I don't know.

Just a word of advice...the first CM at guest relations wanted to charge us too much. We questioned it and asked if he would ask another CM if this was correct. The seasoned CM showed him how to do it. So, if it doesn't seem right to you, I would question it.
