Our upcoming reservation includes a free dining offer. Since we're staying at a Mod this time we're provided free quick service dining which we have upgraded to the deluxe dining plan.

In our last two trips we've had the standard free dining plan. Last year we really struggled with the counter service meals. Coming from Australia, our food is quite different and the amount of preservatives in the quick service offerings upset our stomachs so much that we declared never to do any quick service meals again. Since we did not have this problem with table service restaurants we have upgraded. I have booked our ADRs so that most restaurants are signature ones (i.e. either a breakfast or a lunch and a late dinner). We will be eating a maximum of two table service meals per day.

Since we've been to WDW so many times, we don't feel we need to spend a lot of time in the parks and enjoy our sit down meals.

My question is: is two table service meals per day still too much food? The QS meals seemed to be about the same size or larger than our TS main meals so I thought that 2 TS meals would be manageable.

Thoughts?

Two TS meals every day would be too much for me. Every few days would be ok, but not every day.

I agree with you and your tummy about the preservatives/processed food at Disney. Unfortunately a lot of the TS meals are just as processed, too. My whole family feels off after a couple of days eating there, because at home I cook just about everything from scratch, so all the salt and chemicals is a real overload for us.

It probably will feel like a lot of food, but your tummies' comfort is much more important. Just eat what you want without overeating at each meal, and you should be fine.

2TS a day is fine...2 AYCTE TS per day would be overkill. I'd focus on never having more than 1 AYCTE TS on any day...

You said you're staying at a Mod... that usually includes free DDP, not Quick service. So, you should only be paying the difference between DxDP and DDP, and difference between QSDP and DxDP.

As you your question directly, it depends on what time your meals are. If your two meals are 8-9 hours apart or more (8 am breakfast and 6 pm dinner would be 10 hours), after walking around the parks all day, you will be hungry for that 2nd table service meal. Even with a snack in the middle of the day to tide you over.

And then you have another snack for a late night snack (if you don't have two snacks during the day).

This year has been a down grade to only deluxes are geting DDP everyone else is getting QS.

OP no 2 TS in one day is not too much food. Think about how you eat at home and on vacation. I've eaten 3 sit down meals a day at Disney before and it still was not too much. Of course I only order what I want and don't go with a dinning plan so I don't feel pressured to order everything that is included so that could be the difference.

Also, I don't see there being a problem with eating at 2 AYCTE places in one day - only you can decide how much you care to eat! If someone feels pressured to have several plates just because they "paid" for it, then it could be an issue, but on a dining plan choosing one reasonable plateful isn't "wasting" money. I love AYCTE breakfasts, but I pick a plate that looks pretty similar to what I would get if I ordered an entree (except maybe more protein and fewer carbs).
