I apologize if this has been answered already, but a search yielded no good results.

If we try to upgrade our tickets by doing a price bridge at the parks, what will happen to our FP+ selections? I know they *should* stay linked to our account, but I'm nervous we'll lose them. I don't want to have to quickly try to rebook all our FP+s after our ticket upgrade, KWIM?

Has anyone successfully done this? We will be going in January and staying on site. I assume Disney will pretty much be done testing by that point and all this will be live (i.e. no double dipping or KTTW back ups).

Thanks!

Reports have been that it works the same as before.

I've yet to read any problems with upgrading or any FP+ loss afterward.

These threads always depress me because wayyyy back in high school I considered myself GREAT at math. Took all sorts of advanced courses and made great grades. Now at the grand old age of 36, I look at that and whimper because I'm also planning to upgrade using price bridging (10 hopper pass to AP) and the math makes me want to run the other direction. :crazy2:

the math makes me want to run the other direction. :crazy2:

Let me simplify the equation.

(After using your current ticket to go into a theme park...)

The basic rule of upgrading is to
subtract the full current gate price of the ticket that you HAVE
from the full current gate price of the ticket that you WANT.

Pay the difference.

(Plus 6.5% tax.)

We upgraded 10 day MYW tickets with park hoppers using our magic bands. We did not lose our FP+ or dining credits. :)

Now you're speaking my language! This does simplify it.

ETA: I just realized the initial response I posted in this thread was meant for another AP/upgrade thread! Geeez. Sorry folks. I'm home sick today with a wicked ear infection and loaded up on meds. From now on, no more walking away from the computer before I post.

So can change a PH ticket that's on an MB to an Annual Pass as long as it's before the PH is all used up, and it will count for its full purchase price, and just need to pay the diff to AP?

(Love your sig pic, Robo).

1- You are correct!
(And, it's not the "purchase price." It is the CURRENT full GATE PRICE of a new ticket with the same
original assets as the ticket that you have, regardless of what you happened to pay for that ticket.)

2- Thanks!
