Aug. 19th. I'm just nervous because I've been planning for so many months and now everything I thought I knew is out the window. POP was so colorful and so Disney I'm a bit nervous this won't be. I'm not complaining- just nervous. Can I still book a bounceback for next year at POP if I'm staying at CR? (if they offer one). Do they have a good foodcourt? Any info would be great because I'm starting all over with my research. So excited though!!!

If there is bounceback you can book any resort for bounceback.

I really enjoy Pop. It is a really fun resort but this is a wonderful upgrade for you! Great location, queen beds, monorail, CR shares bus with Poly but CR is almost always first on & off, walk to MK...

we are checking into CR garden wing for the first time ever on August 19th also, maybe they are giving you our room and upgrading me to club level that is an awesome upgrade, congrats

Wow! What a great upgrade! I have never stayed at Pop, but I have stayed at CR many times. The Garden Wing is the building behind the tower. Quick walk to tower for monorail, shops, restaurants, front desk. The bus stop is out front of the tower near the front desk. The monorail is a quick, easy ride to MK, Poly, GF and TTC to go over to Epcot. To get to the monorail, go to the 4th floor of the tower and take the escalator up to the monorail stop. You can walk to/from MK in about 10 minutes. I enjoy the boat ride to FW. Your room will be nice, huge with 2 queen beds and a day bed. You will have 2 closets. Also fridge and coffee maker. The bathroom is large with double sinks, tub and separate toilet area. If you are on the first floor, you will have a patio. I don't think there are any balconies in the garden wing. You will have 2 pools. You can watch the fireworks from California Grill if you book dinner there during the fireworks. You can also see them from the end of the hall stairwell, if you put something in the door to get back in. Also can see them from the parking lot. The food court is called Contempo Cafe and is really good. You can also make reservations at Chef Mickey's, The Wave and California Grill. You can also take monorail to eat at Poly and GF or boat to eat at FW or WL. Lots of options. Also you can see the water pageant at night, maybe from your room, if not, from the beach. We took a free upgrade from POP to the CR Atrium a few years back. Honestly, it was a weird phone call and feeling at first (I thought it was a joke!), but was SO happy we took the offer. The view was incredible, our little guy adored the CMs, and we enjoyed the night walks from the MK to the CR. Something so peaceful about the walking path at night, especially after a long day in the park.

As pp's have said nice but I say "GREAT".....come on an upgrade from value to deluxe especially a monorail deluxe the only step better than that is for Disney to be paying for everything (food,fun,airfare and misc. cash). Soak it all in and enjoy yourself....

Getting that upgrade is part of Disney's evil marketing plan - take a value booker, upgrade them to deluxe, and they will never book value again!

I am hoping they someday upgrade this deluxe booker to club level so we get spoiled that way...

If Disney ever called and upgraded me to the Contemporary I would probably literally die of joy.

It's the hotel I've always wanted to stay at, ever since I was 7 years old.
