Upgrade to Discover Disney at Gate

Hi all.!

I'm not sure this is the right place to ask. I spoke with a rep last year and was advised that you can't select DD tix as part of MYW. And of course, you can only do dining if it's part of MYW.

I was told I could do a one day MYW And at the gate, upgrade to a resident 3 or 4 day DD ticket.

Has anyone done this? Or found another way to combine this ticket with dining? Thanks

free dining requires a minimum number of nights at a resort and tickets. I would think those need to match, although I don't know - say you are staying for 6 nights but only buy 2 nights of tickets, how would that affect your free dining?

Someone correct me if I'm wrong here. But I believe, per the package requirements for the Free Dining offer, that you must purchase a 2-day MYW ticket with any stay that falls under qualifying Free Dining time periods.

At that point, you're looking at $200.22 (tax inc., one-park-per-day ticket for two days total, price valid as of 05/09/14). A Discover Disney ticket is $129 for three days, and $149 for a four day ticket. Since you cannot upgrade a ticket while downgrading on price, my guess is no, this is something that cannot be done.
