Hi
I was wondering if anyone has upgraded FL annual passes with THE DVC discount? I just read about the discount had no idea. Will be going to SSR the 23rd of this month. Any advice helpful Also any thoughts on Member Block Party ?Thanx Janet

Well, you might get some money back. Current price of a FL resident AP is $335.48, while the DVC AP comes to $314.18, a difference of $21.30. It's not much, but I'd pick it up if I saw it lying on the sidewalk. Now if you were thinking of upgrading to a DVC discounted PAP, the DVC FL resident price comes to $353.58, or less than $20 more than your current passes.

The long and the short of it is that it's definately worth looking into. Take you passes and your DVC cards to Guest Services inside the first park you go to or at Downtown Disney, and see what they'll do for you.

Good luck!

The pass is the same for AP whether it's FL resident or DVC. All you need to do is let your FL resident pass expire then buy a new DVC AP with the additional FL resident discount. You'll lose your FL resident renewal price I believe so you'll have to factor in what is best. There's no upgrade from a FL resident AP to a DVC AP with FL resident discount. You can upgrade to a PAP though if you want though it won't be that much of a benefit over the FL resident rate.

Maybe some one can answer my question (I've search the threads for an answer). I have 2 AP vouchers to trade in for 2 new APs in September. We decided to buy into DVC (deposit paid) and waiting for the paperwork to arrive. What in the heck do I do with the 2 AP vouchers I have. It's a huge difference between the 2 in terms of price. Will they refund me at guest services??? Anyone do this? I guess I could sell them, but what a hassle.

Disney won't do a refund.

Until you exchange the vouchers for an actual pass, they are pretty much just like a gift certificate. Since you already paid for them why don't you just get the PAP with the vouchers? Cost is about the same - you might or might not get a few dollars back. (Depends on the CM. They are not supposed to do refunds). Then treat yourselves to some visits to DQ, the wateparks and PI clubs.

Best wishes -
