Upgrade chances?

Staying in RPR July 26 & 27. Was just upgraded to Gold on my Loews card and had this added to my file. The ressie lady said I wouldn't qualify for the upgrade because I got the E card rate. Then, she said she'd put in that if they chose to upgrade me, they'd have the authorization. So, what do you think my chances are?

I just came home from a trip up there & I am a Gold Member...they put it with my ressie and I didn't get an upgrade. When I checked in, I asked as well and still didn't get one... your chances are not that great of getting one. You are going during the summer & they are usually busy that time of year...but it never hurts to keep asking...right up till when you check in....

I'm Loews Gold and have never been upgraded. I think if you go at a really slow time, you have a much better chance of being upgraded. We've had no luck so far.

Two years ago we were upgarded to a "water view" with the Loews card. They did not offer it-I had to ask. The clerk did not appear too happy when I asked, and had to ask the "manager", but, we had a great view of the pool and the Hulk ride! It was in August, and pretty busy. It doesn't hurt to ask. The worst that can happen is they say no, and your still in an awesome hotel with FOTL!
