I'm sorry, did you actually say there were OTHER places besides Disney to vacation? You can't mean that!!! I think if we go at our usual low crowd time, we should be fine. I am kind of miffed that it will be ONE headliner.....for example, we all know the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train will more than likely be top tier. I just think MK will be the hardest to plan out with only one top tier choice. I can see why some people are freakin out, but it is what it is and nothing is going to change that. I still love Disney with all I am. Oh, I'm not saying we don't go other places like camping (ugh -- yuck! ) but Disney is my "big" vacation. I bet alot of people will be hightailing it to Universal/SeaWorld, etc. Oh well.....

Good grief. For the first time in a while I'm actually glad that we don't have WDW trip in the works for at least a few more years. This is INSANE.

I do think you're plans look pretty great but in the back of my mind I'm wondering about all the rides you don't have listed since you only get three... I'm also wondering about being able to actually enjoy an unexpected moment. On our trip to the darkside two of my favorite moments (Jace hugging Spongebob in the parade and our interaction with the MIB) were complete surprises and spontaneous. Would we have missed those moments if we'd been tied to FP times? Different parks, I know, but you understand what I mean.

I think once you're actually in the park some of these things won't be so bad... things we worry about on paper are often okay when we actually encounter them... (That was my super lame attempt at a pep talk, did it work??)

There's no place like Disney for me, but I have sacrificed where some of our family wants to go for a few years, so this might be a good time to do those things. Rey wants to go to Vegas and obviously Savannah wants to do playlist live. I'm not a doomsdayer, at all, but I think there comes a breaking point where the hassle and restrictions are not worth the price paid. I know we'll still have a fabulous time, but I might not want to come back as soon!

Honestly, I was playing devil's advocate a bit but I am still pretty shocked at the 3 FP and the tier system. But I also don't think it will be so bad. I've really completely adopted my "go with the flow" attitude that I started working on in the middle of our 2010 trip. I figure whatever we get done, we get done. A trip *might* be less fun if we miss out on something but it *will definitely* be less fun if I stress myself out over the things I can't control.

Can you tell I have a super boring sub assignment today? I came in to be the aid at the Alternative Learning Center and was told this morning that they didn't really need a sub today because 3 kids got suspended yesterday BUT since I came in I could stay and get paid. Sounds great but I HATE being bored. Hate, hate, HATE it. And the school's computers block tons of websites, including Facebook. Thankfully they don't know about all the time I can kill on the DIS so it's not on the blocked list.

Yep, pure torture! It would prob be more fun if I'd uploaded some pics to Photobucket so I could update my TR or if was actually planning a trip. There's only so much to do on the DIS when you're trying to remember that WDW isn't in the budget right now.

I've been MIA for a while but I'm back now! First of all...that 100 Day PARTY looks like a blast. The Volcano is just perfect and there's nothing better than a table full of Disney! GREAT JOB!

As for the FP+. If I ever get around to finishing my TR you will get to hear my first hand account. When we went in early October double-dipping was still allowed (and actually somewhat encouraged by CMs). I did not pull a SINGLE REGULAR FP the entire trip. Yep...the 3 FP+ was enough...and there were even some I didn't use. We rode RnRC 3 times same day (only 1 with FP+), TSMM twice same day (1 w/ FP+), and ToT (once standby). Thanks! It's great to hear from someone that didn't double-dip, many people say it worked great but then you find out they were double-dipping and I'm almost 100% positive I will not be able to in February.

I was pretty secure and nearly pleased with my afternoon choices for FP+ until they started tiering. That makes it much more tricky and more of a chore. I'm frustrated, but I'm willing to give it a chance. I know I will enjoy not backtracking all over after having to grab FP's and then wait, but if they tier all the parks, I'm going to be pretty frustrated right out of the gate!

So here I am - the LOVER of all things at night Disney - I love the night AND I'm whiter than white or sometimes pinker than pink - and FP+ will give me my rides at night.

All without a phone or any technology on vacation. Hoping.

I actually think that having FP+ reserved for afternoons will be great, but when they started tiering it and the 2nd grouping were rides that don't even need FP, then I started to get annoyed. It's really only 1 ride a day that way b/c I certainly don't need a FP to Figment or Muppets! Eek.

I'm looking forward to not having to go back and forth grabbing FP's! I don't like backtracking.

You may have a problem if you don't bring your phone. It kind of all hinges on that little detail!

Hi Lisa!!! Nope, we are not competitive people. Victoria gets mad as her coordination isn't great, so we never make anything a competition. As for Peter and I, we like competing on Buzz Lightyear's Space Ranger Spin. I can control the spinning and it's easier to shoot those space guns!!

As for the FP+, I had a ball reading all of you guys. Truly. I was at my parents and smiling so over the strategies and such.

Lisa Yes, yes, different colors and names on the bands! Here's what we chose:

Me:
Band 1: Blue (matches my Cinderella PHM costume! LOL) and "Luv2Run" for the name.
Band 2: Pink and "Karen" for the name.

Savannah:
Band 1: Orange and "Ed'sWife" for the name.
Band 2: Pink and "Ed'sWife" again. I would be concerned if he weren't a celebrity and completely unattainable. At least she has good taste, he seems like a nice guy. (I'm talking about Ed Sheeran for anyone reading this that has no idea what I'm talking about)

Eleanor:
Band 1: Orange and "Eleanor" ...she called herself boring (with a smile)
Band 2: Grey and "Eleanor"

So those are our choices! I am thinking about getting some rhinestones and decorating them. Whatya think? I have been told that both bands will work, so we chose colors we thought we would like if we wanted them to match.

Oh and you took a computer to PHM last year to surprise the Goddesses, did you not??? That's worse than a phone.

My PTR is totally in chaos (at least in my head...on paper I haven't done much because just when I start it gets all discombobulated again.) Just about the time I think I have it figured out... fast passes... magic bands. I will have not one..not two but THREE bands. Some of my party will have only one and everyone else..two. I have a less than 50 days now to work it out... and it isn't going so smoothly.

I just wish they would get it over and done with and stop all these changes they keep kind-of doing. If they are going to restrict FP- for all resorts, get on with it already! *grumble*
