UPDATED: My Spring Break Disney Adventure in Pictures! And Lots of em....

Thank you guys so much for reading! I was afraid noone would read since I am not doing a "true" TR. Stay tuned!

The bag is a Baggallini, the DIS standard! :)

Just joining this TR. I love a tr with lots of pictures. It looks like you had a great time despite the crowds.

I would love to work at Disney. I bet that was a fun job.

Looking forward to your next update. Can't wait to hear how your birthday celebration at WC went.

Hey, still lovin it! Can't wait to hear about your dinner at WCC...always love the stories that come out of that restaurant.:cheer2:

After riding Soarin', Nancy and I hightailed it out of EPCOT (after picking up our free disney visa pic) and headed to the Wilderness Lodge to check in at WCC. I was afraid that we wouldn't get there on time and they would give our reservation away (I am super paranoid), but it only took about 20 minutes to get there from EPCOT.

Heather had already gotten off work and beaten us there. She had already checked us in and was relaxing in the beautiful WL lobby. I really want to stay there some day. It is just gorgeous.

See, I told ya you would get to meet Heather at some point. She was my lifesaver this trip, letting me stay with her and saving me $$$. She had the next two days off and we had a lot of fun planned.

We were still waiting on Becky and Joe to arrive (remember them?) so we walked around the grounds for awhile.

Becky and Joe finally arrived so we checked back in at WCC and they led us to our table. I was soooo looking forward to this meal. I had heard a lot about this place and was really curious at what antics would go on during our dinner. Our server was an older lady with a very loud voice. I had my happy birthday button on and she told happy birthday right away.

Of course, I got the all you can eat skillet, as did Joe and Nancy. Heather and Becky got the roasted chicken. I forgot to take a picture of the skillet before we all dug in but it was so yum!!!! The salad they bring out before the actual skillet was double yum! The vinagrette on there is wonderful. I highly recommend the WCC for the food.

It was extremely noisy in there and almost every table had a birthday. This did not bother me because it added to the fun that we were having. We laughed at a guy about my age (25) that had to walk around the restaurant on a stick pony singing happy birthday to himself. I thought to myself that I was glad I didn't have to do that. Well, guess what? We were almost ready to leave and our server calls me up to the front of the restaurant and tells everyone that I must ride the stick pony around the restaurant and sing happy birthday to myself. :scared1:

I was extremely embarrassed but I did it.

86553wcc10.jpg

When I got back to the table I had this waiting for me.

86553wcc12.jpg

I know it looks scrumptious but was actually a little dry. My friends sang to me and I blew out the candles.

I could not have picked a more fun place to celebrate my birthday with my friends. They all really enjoyed it to and thought the food was great. This whole dinner took about 2 hours because of all the goings on that were happening, but it was so much fun it didn't seem like that long.

When we asked for straws at some point our server (wish I could remember her name) just threw them at us. Joe thought this was extremely funny. We did see some tables ask for ketchup and more tea or water. The little kids had their pony rides around the restaurant. The kids were so cute, we enjoyed watching them.

Since it was pretty late when we got out and Nancy and I had been at EPCOT all day we called it a night and headed back to Heather's.

Tomorrow, we were headed to Blizzard Beach!

The WL looks really beautiful. I have never been there. It looks like the dinner was a blast. :cool1:

Will post more tomorrow, I am having troulbe uploading my BB pictures.:disrocks:

I really want to stay there some day. It is just gorgeous.

You will not regret staying at the Lodge, we have had the pleasure of staying there twice now and it was great both times.

Enjoying your report, thanks for taking the time to share

:rotfl: Dinner sounds like it was hilarious! I would love to be a fly on the wall just to watch all the antics that go on all day!

This was so much fun to read and share! Thank you so much for taking us with you.

My DS 13 wants to do the College Program someday. I am going to show him your TR. I love your exuberance for Disney and the way you showed us around. Many thanks!!!:thumbsup2 :dance3: :dance3:

I am soo jealous, you being "good friends" with chip and dale, and wendy. That is my dream. DH does not like my dream  I wonder why? Anyways, I cannot wait to read more. popcorn::

Thank you guys so much for your responses, I am glad you all are enjoying my report! I have been trying to upload my BB photos for awhile now, and after resizing and resizing :surfweb: (they were too big) I've finally got some to post!

Another Disclaimer: Most of these pictures are going to be of me because I do not know how the other girls would feel about me posting pictures of them in their bathing suits. Also, these pictures aren't as good of quality because they were taken with a water camera. They are kinda grainy. Also, I am not very photogenic when I am wet, you have been warned.

Day 5: March 17, 2007 St. Patrick's Day!!

We were so excited to go to Blizzard Beach when we woke up this morning until we stepped outside. BRRRRRR....it was cold!! I think it was 55 degrees when Nancy, Heather, and I left to go to BB. We just figured it would get warmer at some point, I mean we were in Orlando!

We drove up in the parking lot and there were a total of 10 cars there. I counted them. :rotfl: It was probably about 10:00 am by this time. Okay, so we had a quick conversation about what our other options were, but decided to go ahead and stick it out and hey, no lines!

86553Disney_Pics_2_034-med.jpg

Most of the other people there were in their fleece pants and sweatshirts, while we were in our shorts and t-shirts. No worries, we flung off our clothes found three benches together (there were only about a million of them unoccupied) and hit the wave pool. We figured this would the best way to get acclimated to the water.

Here I am freezing, but as you can see it was a beautiful day.

86553Disney_Pics_2_050-med.jpg

The water did feel pretty nice once you were in it for awhile, the problem was when you got out of the water and the wind hit you. BRRRRRRR...... They weren't sending any waves yet, so we decided to hit some of the slides before the crowds started building. It felt like we had the whole place to ourselves. We did the Runoff Rapids, Double Dipper, and Snow Stormers all with no waits.

We were freezing so we thought we should get in the Cross Country Creek for awhile so we could stay in the warm water.

I love lazy river rides! They are my favorite! All the lifeguards were kind of giving us weird looks like we were crazy because it was still so cold. I guess it may have warmed up to maybe 58-59 degrees by this point.

Us in the lazy river
86553Disney_Pics_2_043-med.jpg

We rode the lazy river around to the side of the park where Summit Plummit and all the big slides were. Now, I am not scared of any ride. However, I do not enjoy rides that beat you up and give you atomic wedges and a (sorry to be graphic) semi-enema. So we skipped Summit Plummet and Slush Gusher.

We did ride Team boat Springs, four times as a matter of fact. I love this ride! It is a family raft ride, but it is fast enough that it is a lot of fun.

Here I am on Teamboat Springs
86553Disney_Pics_2_036-med.jpg

We rode the ski lift up to the top to get to Teamboat Springs twice instead of having to walk.

We had NO LINES at all and after about 3 hours, probably around 1:00 or so the weather did start warming up and it was nice. We ate lunch at the Lottawatta Lodge, which was nothing special, we floated on the lazy river a lot and just enjoyed BB with virtually no one else around. :dance3:

We left about 3:00 having done everything we wanted to do multiple times.

What is it about the sun and water that just wears you out? We went back to Heather's apartment and crashed....

Up next, Pizzeria Uno and Disney Quest!

This section is going to be a little boring because I do not have pictures from this night yet. Heather is supposed to be sending me hers and then I will have some to post. I did not bring my camera on this night. :scared1:

So after about a two hour nap, we were raring to go again. We were pretty hungry so Heather suggested going to Jungle Jim's in the Crossroad Plaza. That sounded fine to Nancy and I so we headed there. Well, I don't know if this is news to anyone but me, but Jungle Jim's was closed. It looked like indefinitely. On to Plan B, we were starving so we needed something close. I suggested Earl of Sandwich, but we really wanted to go somewhere to get a beer. It was St. Patrick's Day after all!

We ended up at Pizzeria Uno in the Crossroads Plaza, and let me tell you their pizza is awesome! The waiter was a cute guy Jason I think, who was flirting with Heather quite a bit. He let us split one of their huge salads and then we all got a pizza to share. Get the deep dish, it is yum!

We also ordered green beer!

We had Minnie's Booth
86553bb11.jpg

I had been itching to go Downtown Disney since I arrived, so we went there next to do some shopping. We started off in the World of Disney store, where we synchorinzed our watches and made sure we had each other's cell phone numbers. It is a jungle in there! Ohhhh...you know what? I do have some pictures of the stuff I bought.

Here it is...
86553wod1.jpg

Like a dork I bought two of the same pins without realizing it. I guess I can try to trade it the next time I go or sell it on ebay.

This is one of those things that goes in your kitchen (not sure what is is called) to put your wooden spoon on so it won't drip on the counter.

Pressed penny book
86553wod5.jpg

86553wod6.jpg

On my next trip I am going to collect a lot more pressed pennies. I didn't start doing this until the last day.

Becky and Joe met us in WoD to say goodbye. They both had to work the next day and Becky still wasn't feeling good, so they weren't coming with us to Disney Quest. I hated to say goodbye, but I have another trip planned for November so it wouldn't be too long before I saw them again.

Next, we went to Disney Tails and Mickey Mart. I was disappointed in the Disney Tails store, they didn't have much more that the WoD display did for dogs. You can see the cute collar and chew toys I got for Emmie and Grady in this picture.

EDIT:
Shopping pic
86553bb12.jpg

After we shopped til we dropped, we wanted some ice cream from Ghiradelli's so we stood in the HUMONGOUS line for that. It was a Saturday night so it took awhile. I got the brilliant idea to take our bags to the car while Heather and Nancy stood in line to get our ice cream. That way we could book it over to Disney Quest when we were done.

I didn't want to have to deal with finding another parking place on the West Side, because we all know that parking at DD on a Saturday night is most unpleasant. This proved to be a mistake later you will find out why.

I forgot how far away we parked and I was loaded down with all the stuff we bought, so by the time I got back to Ghiradelli's to get my ice cream I was about ready to pass out. :faint:

Ahhh....that ice cream was good though. Single chocolate scoop in a waffle cone, can't beat it!

Up next. Disney Quest adventures!

I love pictures & the 2 updates a day:cool1: ! What happend to your bags...you left us hanging....

I was thinking about getting one of those pressed penny books. I think that would be a neat thing to collect.:)

I really enjoyed reading your trip report! I went to Disney without my husband last year too! Had more fun with my friend. He isn't into Disney like me. I love taking pictures and I really enjoy seeing others pictures too! Glad you had a great time! Anne
