As for me, I'm still not 100%, stuffy, coughing, draining and both ears hurt now. Then I realized the meds I received from my Doc prior to my vacation was different. Typically he gives me 1000mg Amoxicillin or Ampicillin, this time I was given 500mg Amoxicillin.
On the news I heard there's a shortage for Amoxicillin. UGH, I just want to feel better!

I tested negative 3 times for covid and have an appt. with my Doc tomorrow and will post offers when I get back.
Oh wow. You have been ill for awhile. Hope you can rest and feel better soon. Thank you for all you do for us here even when you are not feeling well.
I just received an email that Meijers will have their gift cards 10% off on Nov 12. Now I know we cannot purchase DGC but if we pair it with CC rewards it will be a good deal towards groceries.

@arich35 I am so sorry for your troubles when buying Disney egift cards from Target.

I've read here there have been some issues but a simple call to CS cleared it up fast, what you're going through is new to me and just messed up!

Just saying, when I held a gift card giveaway here I used Target.
They sent each recipient their winning eGC without issues. Your post makes me reconsider if I'll use Target in the future, so thanks for posting and I hope it all works out - without additional stress.

I have only bought gift cards from them a couple times and haven't had issues until now. My 3rd call to them I was told I needed to call Disney gift card number, I told them I know they aren't going to be able to do anything. Of course I called them and they said the vendor has to fix it, finally on the 4th attempt I was transferred and the lady ended up manually sending me the gift card and 15 min later I got the email.

I want to be able to take advantage of the 5% off so I don't think I will stop using it at this point

Glad it was fixed! Do you live too far from a b&m Target?

Nothing. I've tried on my computer and the phone app and nothing. In the upper right corner of the main coupon page it states "You've saved $10.00 in coupons and instant savings" but nothing shows up at check-out, not even use coupon.
When you look at your receipt does it show at the bottom you used the coupon already? I only use the app on my phone and I can see I used the coupon under “ redeemed “ and when I check my receipt I can see I used it.

Sam's Club Citi Offer: Earn 5% Back, excludes gift card purchases however reading the comments it looks like that isn't being enforced.
I haven't checked to see if I have this new one. But it did not exclude them last time. I know because I made sure I used my disney math and that 5% stacked with the 5% for the highest spend category for the month so I ended up with getting $50 back on my $502 purchase (bought filler items to get to the $500 mark)

Friendly Reminder

Some of you might notice I'm still catching up on your posts.
As the holiday season is about to start PLEASE read the terms on the cashback websites - MANY state gift cards are excluded. However it might not be enforced for everyone.

If you do not get a confirmation email even past the time period, PLEASE do not contact these cashback websites to ask why you didn't get yours. They are excluded. Period.

When you contact them not only are these sites going to look further into your account, but they'll look into the store and possibly OUR orders as well. Please don't be that person who ruins it for our community.

If you're purchasing merchandise, just merchandise I most certainly recommend contacting them, repeatedly if necessary. Be patient, kind but persistent.

That is a pretty good deal. I saw that too. I have the plus membership so I always get at least the 3% so thats always my go to if I need gc fast.

Ok, the happy cards. My Amex has an offer on happy cards. $15 off 100 I believe. The website has the Happy Treats one that has game stop. That is still working right? As long as your gamestop sells the disney gc?
Yes, purchase the happy treats gift card and you can use it in store at Gamestop to buy a Disney gift card. Unfortunately, you can't get the extra 6% off using the Capital One spring code anymore as they have restricted the code to work on only a few select happy cards and the happy treats is not one of them.

:love::love: I couldn't love this post enough! Good on you @gottalovepluto

I have a lot of DP's my friends backed up with links to your posts, travel & other well versed websites and media but I don't have a DP stating Disney gift card site has ever been hacked.

There simply is no proof, no articles or outcry on social media where millions were affected. All I have ever read are posts here & there where a person had their funds drained. A person. Not hundred of thousands or millions.

The mere fact none received emails of transfers or delete a card like we ALL get, makes it more evident that something else occurred. To what end, that's the great mystery.

I leave them because I believe their system is secure and the couple people claiming their DGC accounts were hacked and it was Disney’s fault were actually just hacked themselves. I figure the hack was a breach on their end because it doesn’t make sense for Disney to have been breached like that and a couple people to be the only ones affected out of the millions upon millions of accounts they have.

I've shortened @DisneyMandC response because everything she mentioned has been a DP since I created this thread in 2020.
Disney will require proof of purchase on all gift cards.

Collectively we have recommended:
  • Keep a spreadsheet
  • Save your receipts
  • Throw out what is no longer needed AFTER your trip has been completed.
To cover all bases, this I will recommend as some take photos or write gc info on spreadsheets.
  • Write gc # and code on the back of receipt.
Any other suggestions, I'm here.
ETA: Never received any emails about "You've transferred a gift card" or "You deleted a gift card" because Disney never transferred or deleted any of my cards. They were all still in my account, just all showing with balances of $-.--

Disney passwords have in the past been hacked (big D+ in 2019).

CNN Business
Disney+ itself does not appear to have been hacked. Instead, Disney+ customers’ credentials were stolen in other security breaches. Many people use the same email logins and passwords for multiple accounts, including the streaming service, which have been stolen during previous security breaches.

Again, there is no DP stating Disney gc site has been ever hacked.

Does anyone know how to do this if you already have an account? My membership expired a year ago yet I can't seem to get any of these offers to work because I already have an account in the system.

Anywhere from 1.5 to 3 weeks. I have never gotten it faster than 1.5 weeks and sometimes it takes as long as 3 weeks. I would say if you don't have it by Thanksgiving, then you should contact them.

I remember when Paypal Digital gifts was hacked in 2016 and I tried to get Brian Krebs from Krebs on security to report on it. Here was my email:

Hi Brian,

I don't know if you got my previous email, but I am writing to tell you that the breach at paypal digital gifts seems more serious than originally thought. I went into Best Buy today to transfer my remaining gift cards that had not been stolen to new gift cards. The clerk at the store told me they already had 2 people come in today and try to use gift cards and find that the balance was $0. My 2 gift cards which the balance was stolen were purchased from PPDG on 8/3 and were used in a Best buy store in California on 9/4 (2 days ago). A user on the disboards just posted her $400 in Best Buy gift cards were used on 9/2 online and 2 were used in a New Hampshire store on 9/4, almost 1,000 miles away from her house. Those gift cards were purchased on 8/8 and 8/9. It seems very clear that Paypal Digital Cards was hacked and these gift cards are probably being sold on the black market. Do you have any more information on this? Thanks

And his response:

I got your last message, just have been swamped with other stuff. I'll look into the paypal thing, but I have to tell you that usually these things are the result of a hack of the user (password re-use, easily guessed passwords for managing the GC account online, etc.) than any sort of breach at the merchant. Will let you know if I get anything interesting that suggests otherwise.

Notice his response is the same response that you wrote from CNN Business and the typical response we get when these companies get hacked. To this day, we all know that Paypal Digital Gifts got hacked and yet they never admitted it and no one in the media (including Brian Krebs) was willing to report on it. (Only forums like Doc and other money saving blogs reported on it.)

I don't know whether the disney gift card site got hacked or not, but my point is these big companies that have enough clout somehow find a way to keep these hacks under wraps just like Paypal did. Unlike credit cards, gift cards don't seem to energize the media into investigating or reporting on companies that get hacked. Probably because we are such a small group of people who do the gift card thing.

Does anyone know how to do this if you already have an account? My membership expired a year ago yet I can't seem to get any of these offers to work because I already have an account in the system.

Yeah to use the "deal" you generally have to create a new account... it's generally just tied to the email address, so if you have others use one of them to create a new account.
