Updated Disney Gift Card Deals and More

If you need to buy Disney World tickets (or Disneyland or Universal tickets), I found a bigger discount of 15% off from Viator.com and it MAY be combinable (YMMV) with the current 14% Cashback (up to $50) via RetailMeNot.

It is a referral code, but I don't make any money off of it - I just don't know of any other way to get the 15% off.

I just bought 2 MVMCP tickets for $360.25, it would have cost me $199 each plus tax through Disney's website (no discount for APs or DVC on this date). If I manage to get the $50 back from RMN, it would bring the price down to $310.25 or $155 each.

Here is the link: https://mention-me.com/m/ol/as3ri-76b0b15c26

Apologies if this violates any rules - but there is no financial benefit to me, it is just the only way I have found to get the 15% off code. The code you get is unique to each person who uses the link. You need to use an email address that has not used viator.com before - recommended you use Incognito mode or clear cookies / cache before you follow the link to make sure it gives you a code immediately. It may give you an error and say it will follow up and email you a code otherwise (which it may eventually email you a code, but it should immediately give you a code back if everything works correctly).
Thank you! I bought a 3 3 day passes ( 3 separate purchases). All purchases tracked thru RMN.

It seems like the Amazon Prime 20% discount is not working on all types of Disney tickets. It worked fine for me (like others) on the MNSSHP tickets. But I also tried it on MVMCP tickets (for some reason some of these show up under Disney World special event tickets instead of under MVMCP tickets) - and it did not work for me. However, the 15% off code for Viator did work (see my previous post on this).

So the DL tickets the dates should not be an issue right?

Normal "day tickets" for Disneyland are not dated. I bought tickets when Target had the 20% off at TripAdvisor (which was an unrestricted one time use code per Target account) - which was in November 2023 I think? I picked December 31st, 2023 as my date as that was the latest they would let me pick. My tickets were "good" until sometime in January 2025 and I successfully used them in June 2024 with no issues. Tickets sold today should be good until January 2026.

I fixed it and I'm getting offers now! I had to go on the website to check all the notifications, there are more there than in the app. I just got the 6% cash back at restaurants until Sept. So thankful for this board because I never would have known.

So you just update email preferences?

Glad you were able to get that resolved! Here's something you may not know about Discover credit card, you can set a verbal password on your account.

Call Discover and after they ask you the standard Q's, request they add a verbal password to your account. They might give you the runaround, it's not necessary blah, blah blah. Insist. Even if you have to speak to someone else.
Once in place, if you need to call them for whatever reason, just give them the password and you're good to go.

How will it benefit you? If you're ever in an emergency situation like purse/wallet stolen or lost, weather emergency or if you use a different phone not known to them - one word shuts the whole thing down. Also think identity theft and unauthorized purchases, when you call Discover and give them that password, they'll know it's you.

Just an update to anyone who was curious, with FoxC63 retiring from being our amazing owner of the gift card thread (many thanks to her!), we've been brainstorming on ways to continue maintaining the thread - my idea to use Google Docs with multiple editors to maintain the latest gift card deals was not approved by the admins unfortunately, but the admins said they would look at other ways to allow multiple people to edit the first few posts of this thread (or a new one).

Hopefully we'll have a solution soon!

Thanks @Liquidice for assisting with this!

I got it to work for MVMCP December tickets but I couldn't stack with my Viator Rewards. It took a little bit of back and forth until I realized that I could enter the code PRIMEDAYDEALS during checkout.

P.S. I paid using PayPal because I have an offer for 10% back in PayPal rewards. I hope to get that back on top of the Amazon discount.🙂

Sorry for the basic question, but it has been a couple years since I've done this so I want to make sure my ducks are in a row before I spend all this money...If I buy the 7 day park Hopper plus ticket via Viator with the discount, it is $623, instead of direct through Disney where it is $741. I can then take that ticket and upgrade to an annual pass, correct? A quick Google says I'm still good, but I want to make sure I haven't missed any important announcements (I've been only going for RunDisney weekends and haven't been visiting the parks except a one day ticket here or there, so I haven't stayed as up to date on ticket deals and such like I should have).

I find myself torn.

I think 15% off for DL tickets is maybe the best I can hope to get. I mean...I could potentially hold out for some of those crazy Target Gift Card deals or Tripadvisor deals from last year. But, there is just no guarantee for it. I like the idea of guaranteeing 15% off and not having to worry about it later on.

The only thing I am on the fence about is I am afraid I will kick myself if they come out with some special ticket pricing, like they are currently running for the late summer/fall. Or they had a kids deal earlier this year for like $50 per day.

I am torn between taking the sure thing or holding out for maybe an even better deal.

I just received my tickets, and I fear I just threw away $2,500. I think I am going to be sick.

I did what you did, picked the latest date they would let me pick.

My tickets say they are good "13 days after first use or January 12, 2025, whichever comes first."

My trip is at the end of January 2025.

So, just for anyone reading this.....the tickets sold today are NOT good through January 2026.

Someone please tell me there is something I can do.

Just as an FYI - when the summer ticket deal came out for Disneyland, I priced it out because I could have saved my 5-day tickets for another trip. But when I priced it out, I was shocked to find that I paid less from the 20% off TripAdvisor deal than I would have (direct from Disney) for the summer promotion deal. It was because ticket prices had gone up since I bought almost a year in advance, I actually had better pricing to begin with. I didn't calculate out if I bought the summer promotion tickets for 15% off through Viator because I didn't know about that deal at the time - but I think it still probably would have been close. If that helps you at all! :)

Sorry - I went off of what Undercovertourist.com currently says and assumed all travel agencies had moved to the newer tickets already that expire in 2026. Try cancelling the tickets immediately through Viator and see if they can refund you.

If not, the good thing is, you won't lose the value of the tickets. Expired tickets maintain the original value that you paid for them (actually the value that Viator reported you paid, which usually is before the coupon).

You can try calling Disney and seeing if they can re-issue the tickets good through 2026 since they already are selling them - or exchange the value of these tickets for ones good through 2026, in theory it should be an even trade since ticket prices have not gone up.

Don’t worry. I did the same thing with the same travel dates. 1) I don’t think the expiration date on TA is correct. 2) Even if that’s true the value you paid for can be reapplied to a new ticket.

https://plandisney.disney.go.com/question/long-ticket-last-disneyland-last-purchased-oct-due-557127/

I input the ticket number into my DL account and it doesn’t seem to have an expiration date. I also just checked and Jan. 13 is available for park reservation now. When I try to make a reservation for that date, it doesn’t block me or anything.

Just check back once your date is open for reservation and you should be able to use your ticket.

Thats a good point - I would try loading the tickets into the Disneyland app and see when Disney thinks they expire :)

Thanks! I actually think it may not be as much of a savings as I originally thought, but eh, it is what it is.

Reason being: so, a 3 day ticket with G+ runs $480. However, if you purchase a day ticket in January (based on what's out so far, it's not out till my dates), it *could* be as low as $134-149. So, if those end up being the day ticket prices, I could have gotten 3 separate day tickets for $450, for example.

Then, assuming I could pick up Disney gift cards for 10% off...it ends up being much closer in price.

But....like I said- is what it is.

Granted, there are some days in January that it are $224 for a day pass with G+, so obviously the $480 for the 3 day is a no-brainer as a better deal.

So I guess we'll see once the tickets come out for my dates if I made the right decision or not.

It's alright. Everything I read, too, had it out till 2026. There was a planDisney article from the end of last year that placed expiry as January 2026. So, I thought for sure that tickets purchased some 8-9 months after the article would be at least that far out.

Not your fault.

I guess theoretically, based on my above response...if they expire and I get value paid for them.....I may get even better tickets, if in fact the day tickets end up being less expensive per day- might be able to get a hopper or something. (Which I don't need, but I'm just saying)

I actually did that- loaded it into the app. But, I didn't see an expiration. Do you know where I would find it?

Open chat and ask them when they expire.
