My concern is that they are getting rid of people at the top. This seems backwards. I know it cuts expenses fast, but changes the whole flavor of things too. In all, their severance package looks good compared to others I know about.

Package looks reasonable to me. Expecting 2 weeks pay for every year of service is rather high expectations, but if they've done it before, that's what people will be expecting and anything short of that is disappointing to them.

Usually, it is middle management layers that get cut if enough people don't volunteer..will be interesting to see what level actually gets cut if they have to go through the actual selection process.
