UPDATED! 12 Days on DxDDP, 27 Meals, Too Many Snacks! Kona & Le Cellier

Had a hankering for some Tonga Toast, so over to Kona we go. The wait was not too bad, but they need to do something about the waiting area. Got pretty crowded & loud. Our server was nice, but overwhelmed with tables, so the service was slow. We were on the dining plan and I had ordered OJ, while the others ordered Kona coffeee. When I asked the server for a refill, she said that refills were not included in the plan and I would need to pay extra. What??? I have never heard of no free refills on non-alcoholic drinks while on the dining plan. Food was good, but not hot, but rather that it had been sitting under a heat lamp for a little while.

Macadamia-Pineapple Pancakes with Macadamia Nut Butter, Pineapple Sauce, and your choice of Ham, Bacon, or Sausage:


Ham and Cheese Omelet - with Home-fried Potatoes and a Biscuit:


Tonga Toast - Banana-stuffed Sourdough French Toast rolled in Cinnamon Sugar, and served with a Strawberry Compote and your choice of Ham, Bacon, or Sausage:


Total credits used: 4 - Rating: 3 out of 5 (would have given higher, but not thrilled with service & food was warm, not hot).

These were good, but way too salty. You could hardly taste the scallop.

“Le Cellier” Mushroom Filet Mignon - 8 oz. Canadian AAA Beef Tenderloin with Wild Mushroom Risotto, White Truffle-Butter Sauce, and Micro Chervil:


Medallions of Beef Tenderloin Caramelized Onions, Pommes Frites, and Au Poivre Sauce:


Canadian “Prime” New York Strip - 12-oz Strip Steak with Gruyère-Yukon Gold

All in all, it was a good meal, but not the best we had at Walt Disney World. For me, I think twice in one trip was too much. Did not live up to the hype or how it has been in the past. May pass on this restaurant on my next trip. The meal we had at the Yachtsman was far better than here.
