I posted here a few weeks ago about canceling my AAA rate and rebooking with Best Rate and not seeing the refund in over a month. Just wanted to update those interested that I "found" our refund. I had my TA call WDW and ask about it and they said it was refunded to the cc I had charged the deposit to back on July 14. In the middle of writing a heated letter and checking my June and July statements online it dawned on me
"The credit card I booked my AAA rate room on had the # changed in May for security reasons. I called Chase Disney Visa and yep there was my refund on my old closed account and here began my fight to get my money that had been sitting there for over a month
First call on Friday night: refund found and customer rep said she transfered it to the new card #. Still no refund on Wed so called again and was transfered to security dept for trying to access a closed account, he saw where I had called Friday and found the credits and said he transfered them to the active account and I should see it in 48 hours. Still no refund 5 days later so call #3: asked directly to speak to a supervisor who couldn't access the account and put me on hold to talk to security then came back and said they were having computer problems and I should call back later and talk to a payment rep, he also apologized profusely for this problem. Called back later for call #4 and ask for payment rep; they've all gone home due to hurricane so I'm transfered to security again. Talk to security who finds the credits flagged and AGAIN transfers it to the open account.........I'm not holding my breath at this point. She did call me back about other credits she had found that I didn't know about to let me know they had been on the June statement which I remembered, nice of her to let me know not to expect them after she told me about them. FINALLY my credits are appearing when I checked my acct online
Alot of Disser's cancel and rebook so remember which cc you put your original deposit on and if there was a change since then I hope you have an easier time of it then I did
