I am here at Disney right now. I know that some were concerned about apple scooter. You don't have to be. They are great. I ordered the scooter for the wrong day, my cell phone rang Sunday morning at 9 a.m. and Jose from apple scooter was looking for me. I was like oh no we are not arriving until late tonight. No a problem he made arrangements to meet me Monday morning at 9:30 to teach me how to take the scooter apart. He was right on time taught us what to do and we were on our way. So I wouldn't be concerned the price was right and the service is great. Hope this helps. Michelle

I think Apple Scooters is great especially for the price.

Now, I will say were I live locally has the best deal out there. We can get a very, small scooter for $150/month. That price has made it hard for me to consider a scooter of my own.

Good to know!

I arrive Sept 2 and we have 2 chairs reserved for our group - so we will see how it goes! :) I will report back any problems or issues we have. :)

I'll be renting a scooter for our upcoming trip in January. When last at WDW i rented the EVCs. Can anyone tell me if the DWW scooters are 3 or 4 wheel, I can't remember.

The ones that Disney rents are 4 wheel models.

I am trying to decide which comapny to rent from. One question I have is regarding the basket on the front of the Apple Scooter...it looks real small. I have a folding cane I take into the parks for walking on rides etc and wonder if it will fit in the basket? Also I read something about a big ugly "rent me" sign on the back of the seat..is that on Apple?

Most of the of-site rentals will provide a cane holder or crutch holder on request. There is usually a $10.00 one-time charge for this (not a daily charge).

There is a small basket and it has a rent me sign on it. But every scooter that is rented from an outside company has some kind of rent me sign on it. Michelle

Post #2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread has a picture of the Disney park rental ECVs. They are 4 wheeled, as was already mentioned.

There are also links and phone numbers for a number of off-site rental companies in post 2 of the disABILITIES FAQs thread. I added Apple to the list about a month ago due to good reviews like the one the OP of this thread posted (thanks for the feedback :)

As far as I know, all the rental companies have some kind of 'rent me' sign on them. Some are bigger than others, but they all have them.

You can find the disABILITIES FAQs thread near the top of this board or follow the link int signature to get there.

Some include insuraNCE AND SOME CHARGE EXTRA FOR IT. sOME WILL DROP OFF AND PICKUP AT BELL SERVICE...SO MANY DECISIONS!!!!

We just returned from our trip... I rented a scooter from Apple... the ONLY complaint I have about it is... the scooter that I got had a standard seat instead of the advertised captains chair.. I am sure if I had complained, they would have replaced it, but it ran just fine so I didn't say a word.
