Fox is acknowledging that TMZ and other gossip sites are reporting "the end of the era" ( they won't say he died) but that they won't say anything until they have official confirmation.


Geraldo is saying that he has talked to "sources close to Micheal" and there may be pills involved. He was talking about how he recently sold out concerts in the UK but didn't do anything to prepare for a concert tour at all and took a huge advance and of course we know he has been in severe financial distress.

LOS ANGELES -- Los Angeles have confirmed to KTLA that Pop star Michael Jackson has died at the age of 50.

Jackson was rushed to UCLA Medical Center by ambulance this afternoon after suffering from cardiac arrest, fire officials confirm.

Los Angeles Fire Department Captain Steve Ruda said paramedics responded to a 911 call at Jackson's home around 12:26 p.m.

The 50-year old was not breathing when they arrived. The paramedics performed CPR and took him to UCLA Medical Center, Ruda says.

Jackson is renting a home in the Holmby Hills in the 100 block of Carolwood Drive off Sunset Boulevard. It is only a few minutes from the UCLA Medical Center.

Jackson's mother, Katherine, arrived at UCLA around 2:30 p.m.

Jackson's father, Joe, who is in Las Vegas, told reporters his son is "not doing well."

His sister Latoya reportedly ran from the hospital emergency room in tears after hearing the news.

The emergency entrance at the UCLA Medical Center has been roped off Thursday with police tape.

News trucks surrounded the hospital, helicopters flew overhead, and traffic was being redirected.

No word on the location of Jackson's 3 children, Michael Joseph Jackson, Jr., Paris Michael Katherine Jackson and Prince "Blanket" Michael Jackson II.

UCLA officials are not releasing any details about the pop star's condition.

I remember hanging out on the stoop with my friends singing( actually yelling) and dancing to ABC, Dancing Machine , Rocking Robin.

It's amazing how much his music has been a part of my life.

The Jackson 5 was a huge part of my childhood.

I wonder if they are waiting for all of his family to arrive at the hospital before making an official announcement that he has died.

I remember (I am sure most of you do too) when Natasha Richardson was in the hospital and the same thing was happenning. Some were reporting she had died and some that she was in a coma.

Not too long after her family arrived (mom, sister), they announced that she had passed.

This is very sad indeed.

I will also remember him as a vibrant, talented singer.
