**UPDATE** HELP!! CYPRESS POINT/ hotel kingdom WONT REFUND MY $$$$

**UPDATE**

I was able to get in touch with Hotel kingdom today and all is well! Chris (who was extremely nice & helpful) assured me that my full refund would go through. I feel soooo much better now. Sorry for my previous rant. I hope I didn't scare away any future Hotel Kingdom customers. They really are easy to work with.

I cancelled my 6/19-26 CP reservation June 6th with Hotel Kingdom. I asked when I would recieve my refund and they said I would get my deposit back by the next billing cycle. I then asked about the balance that was charged by CP. They told me they would notify CP of my cancellation and then CP would automatically refund my $$$. Well, I just go my CC bill and both the deposit and the balance are on there. I called CP right away and they said that THEY DO NOT charge anything except at the end of your stay for things like mini golf etc. I explained to the girl that CYPRESS POINT is the name showing up on my bill. HOTEL KINGDOM shows up for the deposit. She said I have to deal with Hotel kingdom.

I CAN'T GET IN TOUCH WITH HOTEL KINGDOM! THE PHONE RINGS AND THEN IT GOES DEAD!

Please........if anyone has dealt with Hotel Kingdom and a refund or a similar experience HELP me!!!:sunny:
 
I have not had to do a refund from them, but they are a reputable company. Don't panic yet and good luck!
 
I have had to get a refund and it did take two phone calls, but it was done and very politely too.

Call again on Monday. If that doesn't work, you can always dispute it with your CC company.

I've had a few hours to calm down and I'm not in panic mode anymore. I'm going to try to call tomorrow and if I have to definetely monday morning.

Wish me luck! We leave in 6 days and I want this cleared up before we go!

Don't worry, I have never had any problems with Hotelkingdom. They refunded me the difference on my deposit (found a lower rate at Valuetrips.com and they matched it plus lowered the rate an additional 10%!) with no problem. They will do the right thing, don't worry.

Glad all turned out well for you! I think your post is still very useful for others as they can see that Hotel Kingdom came through for you and that is very important to know when deciding whether or not to use a company.

I received an email from HK today advising me that my deposit refund has been issued......still don't have confirmation about the $650 balance refund but I'm not worried.

At this point in time I would have no problem using Hotel Kingdom again. I was pleased with their response time and willingness to make it right!
