Update 9-11 MCS!...Can we keep it a surprise???? Our June trip to WDW w/ pics

Tuesday, June 10th

Today was a rest day.... ha ha! We woke up around 8ish and I gathered laundry- mostly mine since my pregnancy wardrobe is a bit small to go and do laundry.

Here is the view from our room of the courtyard...

Since laundry was on the other side of my building it was an easy trip over and I headed back to the room where Doug and the Girls were eating cereal and stuff. After breakfast we headed to the pool, even before the slide was open (it opened at 10) for some early fun!

I went and moved laundry while the girls and DH swam.

We even opened the slide that day... you should have seen how fast the girls went once that rope dropped!

Some view of POFQ as I headed in to get a drink... and to check some ADRs.

I had been checking for Crystal Palace since we arrived...(Jackie I wish I would have known you cancelled yours on Wednesday....)for any meal on that Wednesday... no luck. We also decided to cancel our dinner at Park Fare tonight. We had seen Cinderella, Em had seen the Fairy Godmother and we had all seen the Evil Stepsisters and Lady Tremaine. That meant no running around for dinner... so we were trying to toy around with some ideas!

So we decided around 11 to head to POR for some swimming fun. Since they are sister resorts we could use their pool. DH sent me and the girls down to the boat launch, while he went to get the stroller... we figured we could use it for our junk and stuff and if Em needed a nap we could stroll the grounds to get her to sleep!

So we got on the boat... and left before DH got down there... so check him out running to keep up with the boat between the resorts! The other family on the boat with the girls and I were laughing as we did at him....

We arrived about the same time... and headed to the great gift shop at POR... I love that store it has so much. I got a darling Tink windchime and Em got her favorite thing: two Donald Duck rubber ducks. They were each 5 dollars and she loves them! They then went with us to the pool!

Em tried the slide at POR... but it was not a good thing... a little long and fast for her... so she was kinda insulted!

Hannah however loved it!

After a while we went in to have lunch at the food court... same food pretty much as POFQ, and then back to the pool. DH then took Em on a ride in the stroller... she was beat! So I got to lounge at the pool with Hannah- and then Em came back asleep and I took a nap poolside with her while DH and Hannah swam! Now that is vacation!


Once Em woke up we decided to head back to POFQ... Hannah was a bit mad, she loved the POR slide, but we explained that it just was not good for Em. So we went back and swam until about 4 at POFQ... and started to plan our evening.

DH showered, the girls bathed too and as I was showering I came out to the downpour...it was really raining hard outside! In fact the courtyard in the first picture was completely flooded... it looked like a pool outside our room!Too hard to really leave our rooms, so so so glad we had cancelled our ADRS or we would have been headed out to the Grand Floridian via bus connections- yikes in this rain!

Up next--- do we venture out? Where do we want to go? A big chocolate mess and some wet and wild girls!

What a wonderfully relaxing day at POFQ and POR -- seeing all the pictures makes me wish I was still there!!! Em's Donald Ducks are adorable!

Lucky you in your hotel room during that deluge of rain!!! Can't wait to see what you did the rest of the evening.

What a relaxing day. I think once you have kids, your relaxing vacation days are over...unless they stay at home.

I miss POFQ after seeing your pics. It is such a beautiful resort. I wish we would have ventured to POR, but we never did.

Can't wait to find out what you decided to do that night.

Love the aquarium pics! I wish we had an aquarium here, I really love going the them.

I think it is a great place for little toddlers... I know that Em and Hannah both loved it because you get close to the animals... sometimes at the zoo you are pretty far away and it is hard to see.

It was a great day... two fun pools! A definite plus of staying at those two resorts... I am glad we had time to give both pools a try!
The running was insane... it was too hot. Also I could certainly handle the girls until he arrived at POR. He has no idea how silly he looked!

I wish I was there too... and those ducks were perfect for her... she could not decide on two though easily!
I feel so lucky we missed the rainy mess.....

My girls are good at the pool now... not like I don't watch them like crazy, but they are not attached to me so the pool is a good spot for us.
POFQ is a great theme for little kids... my girls loved it. I think it is pretty too!

We love to swim. I am sad though because Hannah is a great swimmer and she wore that darn lifejacket the whole trip. She just was not in the water enough before we went to have the confidence that she did not need a belt. In fact she saw the pictures and laughed.... why was I wearing that?

Yes... I want to go to the Park Fare Buffet sometime. However we had seen the entire crew and really getting there is a bit of a journey from POFQ. Then when it stormed.... boy were we glad. It helped that we never mentioned another princess meal to Hannah. She had no idea we cancelled the Norway dinner or that dinner. She was happy to have eaten at the castle.

Let me say.... it was still wet everywhere from all that rain... but we had fun!

At this point I just keep a running "next time" list -- which is actually one of the things I love about Disney World -- we never run out of things for "next time."

I actually have it planned in my mind... our next trip, where I want to stay, eat, how many park days, time of year.... I just need to plug in the meals- ha ha.

I personally love POR pool and slide. However for Em we stayed at the better pool for her.
We did not get to Crystal Palace this trip. We had dinner there on Hannah's 4th birthday. We loved it... I thought it was a good buffet, and so pretty. My kids are not big Pooh fans, but we still really enjoyed seeing the characters.

Emily does not understand she is not 4.5 like Hannah. She just thinks she will be able to do what her big sister does. Right now she is trying to figure out how to swim 25 yards like Hannah...

I bet she'll figure it out in no time - she always looks so determined in her pictures. My youngest was kinda that way. We had a neighbor girl that was about a year younger than him - she learned how to ride a bike without training wheels before he did As soon as he saw Sadie riding with no training wheels he was done - he had it mastered by the end of the day!
