Up grading a child's ticket?

I have a 3 day never used child's ticket from about 6 years ago. The never expiring kind. DD is now 10 so I need to up grade. Initially I was going to use it for DS but now they have the buy adult get a free kid ticket. So he will get a free one.
So can I do this like Disney? I know I can't upgrade the free kid one. But it would be great to be able to do this for her.

You can upgrade your child's ticket. It is usually about $10 more. Just go to Guest Services and they will be glad to do this for you.
