What's up Dizzy?

Nothing too exciting - but things are still pretty hectic (should clear up Monday). We have 99% of our clothes at the brown house, but are still living at the blue house (beds and all the furniture are there), so unfortunately we always forget something and have to make a quick run to the other house (the brown house is much closer to town then the blue house). Even now I realized (after quickly doing a batch of laundry so I wouldn't have to go back), that my shoes are at the blue house, so I will have to make a run there before I work at 5pm :sad2: :sad2: :sad2:

...good news is DH's family is all coming up this weekend to move us, and then we will be 100% brown house (I am giving the rental house back on Monday :cool1: )

What is new with you, I saw the customer you really disliked left, but other then that I am pretty much clueless :confused3

Darn, I finally get a break and you guys are all MIA! I'm going to bust out some priority charts! :rotfl2: :lmao:

:scared1: I haven't decided yet whether the legos are getting moved to the brown house - the nightmares still haven't stopped :rotfl2:

Thanks Pix - things really are good, and while working all the hours makes things crazy, the extra income has been a nice addition :thumbsup2 . Hopefully once we get the new girl set (she worked at the place a few years ago, so she has experience and should be easy to train), I can go back to 20 hours or so per week which will much more doable :cool1:

Ok, sadly I must go back to the blue house and on to work - hopefully I can catch you again soon!!! :goodvibes

WAIT!!! Cancel that - I am an idiot and my work shoes were in my car!!!

COME BACK PIXSTER!!!

Pix, I have to agree with Alex, it sounds like your sister is being a typical preteen. I remember being that age.... I was HORRID!

Meanwhile, Dh gave me his stomach ickies.... :headache:

I must be a mean motor scooter, cuz I never let my kids get away with that kind of stuff. Oh they tried to do it, believe me, but they knew when they went too far. My oldsest daughter was the worst. I'd come down on her and ask why are you behaving like this? She'd say I don't know, and then write me this huge apology letter later.

Kaitlyn is at the testing age right now too. When she starts in at it, I stop her imediately and ask her what is with the additude? "Do I deserve to be talked like this?" Usually this stops her in her tracks to think on it. I will then say, "I'm just trying to have a nice converstion with you, and you are treating me like I'm stupid or something. Do you think I'm stupid? Do you talk to your friends like this?" Or I will just tell her in my very motherly  tone to just nip it in the bud! She knows that is the time to shut the mouth!! But this is something Dave and I have instilled since they were young. They have never been allowed to back talk. If they just muttered something, I would ask if they had something to say. Or it was "What did you just say?" Usually it was nothing of course. :rotfl: My Mom and Dad did the same thing to me, and it scared me to death.

But all of this stuff that they go through is all for a purpose of course. They grow up, and this is their time to start spreading their wings. And I have to take all of this into consideration too. If they didn't do any of this, then I guess I would worry about them, and their maturing.

I tell you, it is a fine line being a parent. When to say no, and when to say yes, and when to give in.

OK so much for my mothering talk.

Hi ya Lynn!!

It's because Pix's younger sister is acting quite spoiled and testy lately. Pix is upset at her, and her parents for letting her sister act the way she is. I guess her sister is even acting that way with Pix too!

You should go back jsut a little ways and read it, and you'll see what we are talking about.

Hey............is your ear and iron count better?

yeeeeeeeeees much better...thanks...I know ive been mia and ok im not a traitor here but Im trying to read a 182 page thread before they close it on the disney cruise line side...its about the door magnets and there is SO much information about programs, what supplies to use, just making me down right crazy but I want to go through them so I can save any of the posts that I need and pics and such...thank god andrea does scrap booking...Im pretty creative in the designs, fonts and such but she will be the one to laminate and all that...im just too sloppy and have NO patience with cutting and everything so because we are going during christmas time we want to have the BOMB door...the one that everybody talks about and visits so I am starting now...any help of creativity would be welcome and appreciated...

DS7 already gets lippy sometimes. And gets that tone in his voice. I do the same thing you do: "Excuse me, what did you just say?" or "Wow, I must be doing something wrong here, because I apparently gave you the impression that it was OK to talk to me that way." He usually clues in and cleans up his 'tude. ;)

I do let an occasional one go by, though. Some days I'm just too tired, or we've been having such a hard time I figure this is one of those battles to give on. He is my sensitive child, and if he's stressed out or I've been on his case for something (like cleaning his room), his attitude can get out of sorts, either really weepy and whiney, or cranky.

It would be so much easier if all kids functioned the same way, so we could KNOW what to do in every circumstance and it would be the right answer. But it isn't, they're not all the same, and we aren't either, so we just sort of fumble along the best we can. Or at least that's how I feel some days. :)

After weeks of DS3 wanting to watch things like Harry Potter movies and that creepy Spiderman with the black ooze Bad Spidey with the jaggedy teeth... Today he wanted to watch Winnie the Pooh! My sweet baby's back! :lovestruc

So that thead is getting close to 250 pages? Geesh.that would be alot of info agoing up in smoke!!:sad2:

When we went for Chrsitmas in 2005 to WDW, I made a door wreath. I started with the good ole greenery, and added lime green, kelly green and red Home Depot Mickey Head paint chips. Some of the chips I covered with glitter and puff paint. I also added some little ball ornaments, and a big bow on top. I then put my screen name on one of the Mickey heads. But I don't think anyone ever saw it fron the DIS. But you know what? That was OK, cuz I had fun decorating it, and our room!:yay: :cloud9:
