Staley, you are so right. This is not something to be rushed. Dh's beloved grandmother (who was really like a mother to him) died in '92, and he still has never visited her grave. He just can't bring himself to do it yet, and I honestly don't know if he ever will.

But what is the big deal? The graveside is for the living more than the dead, it's a place for those who grieve to go and pay respects and reflect. If it's too painful to go just yet, don't go, and don't let anybody talk you into something you're not ready for.

Okay, here goes!!!

4 large russet potatoes (peeled and small diced)
4 med red potatoes (small diced)
6 oz (2 large stalks) celery (small diced)
6 oz (1 large or 2 small) carrots (peeled and small diced)
1 med yellow onion (small diced)
2 oz unsalted butter
1 lb. bacon (rough chopped) **Tip, place slices of bacon in the freezer to make it easier to cut, will slip less**
16oz chicken stock or vegetable stock
32 oz heavy whipping cream
2 oz flour
1 oz vegetable oil
salt/pepper to taste

I had bad heartburn with both pregnancies. However, I finally found a cure. Just send dh to the doctor for a vasectomy!

Just found out tonight that my nephew & his wife are having a boy!

So do you have any potential names yet or do we need to continue calling him StaleyFetus7584?

Sure it's the least I can do! But I think perhaps we should use the Costco card now and buy about 10,000 heavy duty garbage sacks and attached them to the back so he will gently float down the next time!

On another note... My mom is not a total hag. She gave me a few hundred $ to buy stuff for the new baby. I know. Really, the thing is about the size of a pea... It doesnt have much need for anything right now. I dont even know what to do with it, so we just stuck it in savings... I have a feeling it is going to go towards the new house. Of course... she did that before we went out to eat... so she might have been buttering me up.

Trust me, as soon as this is over, and everything ends well... dh is on his way! He already KNOWS!!!

How exciting!

Uhhhh... I kind of agreed after Mikalah (thinking she would be our last) that dh could name the next one. Now I get to look forward to some sort of geeky sci-fi name. I tried to get veto rights, but he wont even give me that.

DH, who I'm sure you all know is a huge computer geek, nicknamed DS7 in utero as "Version 2.0".

Of course when DS3 was on the way, he was "Version 2.1"...
