Its in the new rules. I have to have a notarized statement from him allowing us to get him a passport, and if we take him out of the country. Which is a total bummer, since dh's dad lives in Germany... and they havent seen Mikalah yet.

ok then this is what you do...go to a notary public office and tell him you want to discuss the current situation and can he meet you there...then when he gets there...the first order of business is to get a signed statement and get it notarized...then when thats all done you tell him he cant see alex:lmao:

i was telling staley I got a notifier that the prices on the DCL for 09 came out and that Im going to put down a deposit within the next month or so...now THAT has been my dream of a lifetime:cloud9:

It was good, a little chilly, I think it was only 82 or 83 today!!!

Got down to 59 last night!!! HAD to get the flannel sheets and the space heaters out!!:scared1:

haha...so the hard rock hotel is having a HUGE grand opening on the 9th or the 10th....big parade and jimmy kimmel is supposed to be taping a show over there and some big name bands will be there....you should go check it out;)

Alison!!! Whats going on? :cool1: :cool1:

Let's see...DH is snoring, DS is doing his 20 minutes of homework reading, DD is in her bedroom doing her hour of evening exercise. I just finished the dishes, ground up some flax seed and threw in a load of laundry.

DD has now decided that according to her new diet/exercise program flax seed is something she should include in her diet. Never mind that I've been pushing flax seed for the last 6 months...I guess she just needed someone other than her mother to tell her that it's healthy!:lmao: I learned today that you can substitute 1 tablespoon of flax seed & 3 tablespoons of water for egg in a baking recipe. So I might try hiding some in meatloaf or cookies! But tomorrow I will try adding 2 tablespoons to our morning oatmeal, hopefully she will like it.

I got mine from the Orowheat bread outlet store. It was the Bob's Red Mill brand. Most stores are starting to carry it now in the natural foods or bulk section. Winco has really good Frito type corn chips with flax seed in them now and I've also seen cookies with it in them. It's very high in Omega 3 oils (just like fish) so it's good for your heart, also some studies show it helps prevent cancer cells from clumping together, and it is very high in fiber so helps prevent constipation. Recommend serving is 1-2 tablespoons per day for adults, 1-2 teaspoons per day for kids. You can add it to baking recipes, sprinkle in yogurt or applesauce, spread on toast with honey or PB, sprinkle on salads, add to cereal or oatmeal. You can buy the whole seeds and grind it yourself in a blender or coffee grinder like I do. They also sell flax seed oil, which you can make a salad dressing with, but it doesn't have the fiber benefit.

Many people that have had cancer are now eating flax seeds. It doesn't prevent cancer, but there have been a couple of studies done where they have 2 groups of people on chemo - each of them are fed 1 muffin a day, half have flax seed added and half are just regular. The ones with flax seed added had a 29% greater reduction in tumor size. They think it adds something to the estrogen hormone that keeps abnormal cells from binding together. But I figure it couldn't hurt to add it to my diet.

Geesh, I'm starting to sound like a Flax Seed Salesman!

That will be fun, and you can ALWAYS stop by Disneyland on the way back!!:woohoo:

Hey, it sounds good to me! I will definitely pick some up.

Oops, forgot to add that it also is good at lowering your bad cholesterol levels.
