OK, I just caught up (on last night's conversation, anyway.) I agree with Lynn in that things have changed, we're not all on at the same time, nor as frequently as we used to be. However, as Sam said, the only thing in life we can be sure of is change!

I appreciate that, as busy as we all are, we pop on when we can and say hello and what's going on in our lives. Christina lives halfway around the world and pops on, even when no one else is chatting! Sometimes I pop in and lurk just for a few minutes because I don't have time to chat, but then of course you won't know I've been there. So I'll try to at least say something so you know I'm still among the living, and still trying to keep up with you all! :grouphug:

I also miss Andrea, and am glad to hear her absence is simply because she's busy ~ Perfectly understandable with all that's on her plate right now. I wish I could just give her a big ol' .

Hi everyone!! Today is the day I move across town, and guess what...we haven't even started packing!! :rotfl2: The good news is that we only have to pack clothes, but still, we'll probably be moving quite late. Next week we won't have internet set up so I won't get to talk to you ladies before I leave for my trip on the 12th! So wish me luck and wish for low crowds and decent weather and no rude encounters. ALSO, I will try to get on the dis when I'm at disneyland because we'll have the laptop and it's free interenet at the hotel, and that means I'll be in your time zone so maybe I'll get to chat with a few of you that I haven't seen for awhaile. But who knows if I'll be too tired to get on the dis at night, we shall see.

And Pix, I can't keep up with your siggys :rotfl: I love your new one, I like the colors!! I guess I should change my halloween one at some point. Anyways, bye ladies have a good next couple of weeks!!

Shawna, tell your DD goodluck with her dancing. And don't forget to take your picture in front of the L!! lol bye!

I hope you and your DH enjoy your new place! :goodvibes Good luck with the move! :cutie:

Thanks for the compliments on my siggie. :yay:

I can't believe you will be at DL soon!! How long will you be there? I could try to stop by the park. You're the only hyena I haven't met yet! princess:

Thanks for the hello and anniversary wishes!

OK, guys...I knew I should have gotten on here last night. Boy you guys really had a depressing thread last night! Remember - THE ONLY THING IN LIFE THAT IS CERTAIN IS CHANGE! Even our families change, kids grow up, husbands get bald, our bottoms get bigger. :lmao: But the one thing is we care about each other. And I know we care about each other here on the Hyena thread! Just sometimes our lives get temporarily busy and we have to change priorities for a while.

That's very true. ::yes::

Alison- my aunt went to Costco yesterday and I asked her get me a bag of those Multigrain chips you were talking about. She said she couldn't find it. :confused3 I don't think my Costco carries it. :(

Last night I went over to my litte sister's house and played the new HSM game for the Wii. It's just like Karaoke Revolution for Playstation2. It was fun but I noticed that if you sing solo it automatically gives you all the male vocals. We tried to see if we could change it but you can only get the female vocals if you play 2 player. :confused3 The game is okay and it's cool that the characters do the same dance moves as in the movie. I think it costs $51 for the game plus 1 microphone at Costco. It's not even out yet at Best Buy (they won't get it until Nov. 13th) and it costs $69 there.

So to give you a little perspective on me, I am a SAHM, DH and I are very involved with our kids, and we don't make enough effort to get out and socialize much. It's a big deal for us to get out of the house for an evening alone, and even on the rare occasion that we do, it's usually just for dinner and conversation, then back home. I can't even tell you the last time that happened, but it was in 2006...

So here's been my life the last week:

Friday, Oct. 26: My closest girlfriends and I, who together have 9 children about the same ages (2yo through 7yo) had a Girls Night Out! We just started doing this in September, and we are having so much fun! We are planning to do this one evening a month.

Saturday, Oct. 27: I attended an all-day scrapbook workshop. What a blast! I am still working on the pages for our first Disneyland trip in fall 2006, and I can't believe how much the boys have grown in just one year! I attend a workshop about 3 times a year.

Monday, Oct. 29 - Thursday, Nov. 1: DH's step-grandma came to visit. (Grandpa was a widower, and met up with his childhood friend at a class reunion. They married the same year we did, so she is the only "great-grandma" the boys have known.) Grandpa died in 2005, which was hard for all of us, especially her of course. She last visited in spring 2006, so it was wonderful to see her, and the boys eat up all her attention like little sponges. Definitely a win-win visit, everyone is happy!

Saturday, Nov. 3: I attended a scrapbook convention in town. It occurs only once a year, and I try to go every year. I didn't sign up quick enough to attend any classes, but enjoyed just shopping on the vendor floor and doing a few make-and-takes. I love seeing all the beautiful new papers and fun gadgets! I even bought a very expensive one that should ship within the week, WOOHOO!!!

Sunday, Nov. 4: An old college friend of DH's and mine is coming to visit today. I'm so excited! I haven't seen her for like 2+ years, and at the time she was newly divorced and starting on a totally new career path. She's now a newlywed. The business she started previously went well but the partnership with another person didn't, so now she's embarking on another venture, and I can't wait to talk with her!

It just stuns me that I can go weeks, or months without much change in the routine, and here all this activity has occurred on a little over a week! GEESH, I hope I haven't used up my quota of excitement for the year... :rotfl2:

Hey, pix! Good~ And you?

I'm just waiting for my friend to show up for lunch. Hopefully DH will be back from the grocery store soon with some lunch fixin's! :rotfl:

Hope you enjoy your lunch!

This whole daylight savings time is throwing me off. I woke up at 11am, which is really 10am. My bf woke up looked at the clock and saw it was 11:30am. He was about to wake up until I told him it's really 10:30am. He automatically went back to sleep and is snoring again as we speak. :rotfl: :rotfl2:

We're planning to watch a movie today.....either Martian Child or that Bee Movie and go to Citywalk. :yay:

I'm good! I hope you have a great lunch date! That sounds like fun! :cool1:

Hello again, Sarah! :)

Thanks, guys, I'm really looking forward to seeing my friend. :goodvibes

I've heard really mixed reviews of the bee movie. I can't remember what I read (People mag) about Martian Child though... Oh, I think it was good but the reviewer thought it gave an overly simplistic portrayal of dealing with a child with (I think) mental or emotional troubles. From that I'm guessing that it's a happy ending. ;)

I woke at 6:30 today (which was really 5:30 with the time change), so I feel well-rested. But it was sooo weird not to feel rushed to get ready! Everyone was fed and dressed before 9:30, very odd for a Sunday in this house. :rotfl:

Really? We wanted to see the Bee Movie because of all the celebs who did the voices. My bf used to watch Seinfeld and I really like Renee Zellwegger. :) Martian Child looks interesting and I've always liked John Cusak and Joan Cusak. I don't think I've ever seen a film where they were both in it. :goodvibes

I love the Cusacks, too. I have seen them act as brother and sister before (I think they do in this movie as well?), was it in the movie where he played a hitman going to his high school reunion?

I was surprised that the Bee Movie wasn't rated very well, too. But I haven't talked to anyone I know who has seen it, so who knows? Some reviewers I agree with all the time, some I think are overly harsh, but I don't know the People mag reviewers so could be a "cute, fun but not great" movie, you know?

I'll let you guys know how the movie is, whichever one we see. popcorn:: Hopefully it will be a good movie. :yay:

Well, I'd better scoot and inspect the living room, since that's probably where we'll spend a majority of the afternoon. Toys and clutter seem to migrate into that room when no one is looking, so I want to make sure it's comfortable and there's room to put a drink on the coffee table, for pete's sake! ;)

Have a great day! I hope you enjoy whichever movie you wind up seeing, pixster!

WHOA!!! The sun just popped out!
