Good morning hyenas!! It's 47 degrees here in NY, on this morning, my 21st wedding anniversary . Hope all is well and that you all remembered to change your clocks before you went to bed last night.

Hi everyone!! Today is the day I move across town, and guess what...we haven't even started packing!! The good news is that we only have to pack clothes, but still, we'll probably be moving quite late. Next week we won't have internet set up so I won't get to talk to you ladies before I leave for my trip on the 12th! So wish me luck and wish for low crowds and decent weather and no rude encounters. ALSO, I will try to get on the dis when I'm at disneyland because we'll have the laptop and it's free interenet at the hotel, and that means I'll be in your time zone so maybe I'll get to chat with a few of you that I haven't seen for awhaile. But who knows if I'll be too tired to get on the dis at night, we shall see.

And Pix, I can't keep up with your siggys I love your new one, I like the colors!! I guess I should change my halloween one at some point. Anyways, bye ladies have a good next couple of weeks!!

I think tomorrow we are going to get out all the christmas decorations...i love this time of year, anyone else freaky like me? I usually take them all down by dec.27.

Egad! I just took the Halloween decor down yesterday. We usually start decorating for xmas on Thanksgiving weekend. But I'm like you I want them down as soon as the holiday is over. I've even been known to take the tree down on the evening of December 25th!

Ummm... we dont decorate for christmas. Not even a tree.

Come on down, we will happily hang you upside down on the roof installing lights! Seriously we are starting to turn into the Griswold family! If we lived on a lot downtown we would totally win the downtown xmas lighting contest! But since we are on property and it's so spread out it doesn't look nearly as impressive.

NO!!! He doesnt want me to spend the money... Doesnt he realize the trick to happy home life is having a happy MOMMY???? Oh well... I have faith I will change his mind by then. I cant see how me spending about $1000. on a trip is really going to have that much of a difference on whatever we do. I WILL change his mind.

Hey Staley! Do you want to drive down and split gas costs? Plus I could probably get us one of those $50 rooms to share. I would pay for the room! We could pack food to eat along the way. We could make this a cheap trip!! Tell him "If Momma ain't happy, ain't nobody happy"! I wanted to go to, but I've just been spending so much money lately, that I want to start saving some more. So that would work for me.

and we've added a couple new people but again I dont know them that well and its not the same this is just the way Im feeling...

OK, guys...I knew I should have gotten on here last night. Boy you guys really had a depressing thread last night! Remember - THE ONLY THING IN LIFE THAT IS CERTAIN IS CHANGE! Even our families change, kids grow up, husbands get bald, our bottoms get bigger. But the one thing is we care about each other. And I know we care about each other here on the Hyena thread! Just sometimes our lives get temporarily busy and we have to change priorities for a while.

I was a little disappointed in our June meet also. But just because I felt torn between my family & the hyenas. It was a bit difficult trying to find a good balance. On one hand I wanted to just party with the girls, but on the other hand I was feeling guilty that I just dumped my family. But I think that's a woman thing - we take care of everyone else, while ignoring our own wants & needs. That's why I think a Ladies Only trip would be awesome.

Hmmm... maybe some leftover pizza... I actually MADE it, instead of ordering it! Mikalah stood under my feet the whole time. Pizza!!! Pizza!!! One time our APT. Manager stopped by for something, and when she walked away from the door Mikalah ran after her.. Where Pizza???? OMG!! It was SOO funny!

That's a bad sign Staley!

Happy Anniversary Harasw!! This morning on our local Fox news they were showing a weather camera of New York. Commenting that you guys were only about 2 degrees warmer and had fog. Basically the same forecast as us here in the NW. We are having an awesome November. Normally this time of the year it is 45 degrees, foggy and raining. But we have had the most awesome weather, sunny, dry. I'm not complaining though because I know the rains will hit eventually!

By the way what does Harasw mean?

Found a great new product at Costco. It is Organic Sugar. It is about 2/3 more expensive than regular sugar, but it is so good!!! It kind of makes me wonder why I've used regular C&H white sugar for so many years. It has a wonderful taste, kind of like a light brown sugar, but not really. Even DS liked it, last night he asked for a small cup of sugar for dessert!

Plus, it is also Fair Trade certified. That means that the farmers that produce it are paid a fair wage, not just pennies that the large companies pay them. It helps bring more money to poor villages, instead of just lining the pockets of large companies. I watched a show on it not long ago and I think it's a good thing!

I recently got a new book titled "You Can Do It!" The Merit Badge Handbook for Grown-Up Girls. Found it at Dollar Tree. But seriously I can't believe that it's not on the Best Seller's list.

It is set up just like the Girl Scout badge handbook. So I'm starting work on my first badge. "Roam Where you Want To". It's the travel badge and I'm going to Disneyland on the Ladies Only Trip. It's time I started doing things for me! I've accomplished many major goals in my life, but I've never really taken the time to just do fun things that interest me only! Not only am I going to DL, the next time there is a really cheap DING on SW for the weekend, I'm going solo, no matter where it's at! It's time for me to get out of my comfort zone.

But first I need to unload the dishwasher, make breakfast, go to the post office, grocery store & pharmacy! So I'd better go get the chores done! Funny, they don't seem to have a Housework Badge in that book!

We have some rain coming towards the middle of the week, but fog is definitely not in the forecast at this time of the year. Hope it stays nice and sunny where you are.
