ufff... I am wiped! We went to Northwest trek today! It was a lot of fun, and we got to see a ton of animals on the open range tram thingy. We went around 3:30, and it was really cooling down, so ALL the animals were out. They have 1 moose, and she is usually hiding in the forest area, but she was sitting on the side of the road!:woohoo: :woohoo: Even the tour guide was surprised! It is also rut season for the Elk. (mating season) It was especially fun watching the male Elk pee on him self to impress the chicks!:rotfl2: The guide told us that our trip might not be entirely "G" rated....:lmao: But it was okay, we saw no elk getting their boogie on!We saw a ton of bison, and big horned sheep, deer, caribou, and other things. Super fun!:thumbsup2

SO... I was supposed to go grocery shopping, but dh says he wants to do something fun. Also mentioned that it would be a long drive. I dont want to go on a long drive. :sad2:

Is he crazy or what? The last thing I would want to do after a long car trip is go on a long drive.

He's gonna ditch you in the desert?? J/k!! ;) I hope you have fun :)

Yeah Staley, watch out if he starts heading toward the desert!:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: So just where is our local desert, I've lived here all my life and I can't seem to find it!:confused3 :confused3 :confused3 Up here we have to watch out if they seem to be headed down some logging road!:scared1:

Christina- I saw the Junior section of Nordstrom had some really nice dress tops and such and they aren't expensive at all! I checked out the price tags for you and it was $34 for a shirt and some were even lower than that (and it's not the sale price either). Here's a link:http://shop.nordstrom.com/C/6002038...1-745f6d656469&catID=6002038&Category=6002038

Here's another link to some on sale: http://shop.nordstrom.com/C/6007579...1-745f6d656469&catID=6007579&Category=6007579

I'm not sure if it's the same ones I saw but the shirts were not too formal and looked perfect for a dinner party or night out with friends. :cutie:

Thanks pixter, some of those shirts are adorable. I'm going to have to do some major shopping when I'm in California next month. So much crap is happening at disneyland that's making me nervous about crowds at DL that I might be spending more time shopping than actually in the park. Everything is so much cheaper in the states than here or even Canada right now so I may need to bring an empty suitcase to bring back all my goodies.

Hey Christina!!

So yesterday I picked up some of our new flooring. We can start installing it tomorrow. I'm ALMOST finished with the kitchen cabinets. I have the bases and drawers finished but the doors I still have more coats to put on. We are doing the kitchen floor first so I need to get on the ball with painting to finish up.

We went with the more ex*****ve floor and it paid off. It has random lengths like the other one had and we loved. That was a surprise as we were told the planks were all the same lengths. :cool1: Plus there are definite groves in between the boards giving it the more natural look. Its also handscraped! I am loving this floor. i cannot wait to post pictures!

what lamers... :P

Title: My own personal Disneyland tragedy.. boo hoo!

I went to go get a Nestle Toll House Ice Cream sandwhich.. which I usually get but haven't gotten in so long... and lo and behold.. the CM tells me..

"We don't sell the Nestle Toll House Cookie Ice Cream Sandwhiches anymore."

WHAT?!?!?!?

yes, some tragedy!!! :P

yes, some tragedy!!! :P

Oh thank goodness it's only ice cream. I thought for a minute they were going to say they quit selling the chocolate dipped strawberries!:scared1: :scared1: :scared1: Now that would be a tragedy!!!:lmao:

Cool, I can hardly wait for the photos. You have now inspired me to get off my rear and get to work today. I still need to clean out the trailer for hubby's elk hunting trip. I guess it's the least I can do for him. He loves his hunting trip and last year I was in the middle of chemo so he didn't get to go much. Instead he stayed home most of the time taking care of me & the kids. So I want to make sure he has a wonderful trip this year!:thumbsup2

Not to mention I need to finish the outdoor Halloween decorations. I went to the Dollar Tree yesterday and I got some cool tombstones so I have a graveyard to build.:thumbsup2

Hey all, what up? Havn't posted for a while, working on a project at the office and couldn't get on the DIS! (they shut the internet/open ports server down for maint. so I can't access home computer OR internet :sad1: )

I see everyone is busy! It actually RAINED here! we got 3/10ths of an inch!! many many accidents, freeway shutdowns due to the HEAVY storm. it's a madhouse!! Da Gov-a-nator may haff to do someting abouut dat!

Soooo how ya'll doing?popcorn::

Hi again!!! :cool1:

It's been pretty quiet around here!

Hope everyone had a nice day!:goodvibes

We are back from the happiest place on Earth. We had a fabulous time (with a few mishaps and a few wonderful surprises), and are now glad to be home. I cannot wait to sleep in my own bed! :cloud9:

It looks like you all did just fine without me for a week, thank goodness for that. ;)

Pixster is going to be so disappointed in me, I'm sure. She texted (is that a word?) me directions to the secret bathroom, and I STILL couldn't find it. :headache: That was me, and this was DH: :sad2: "Honey, it's just a bathroom..." (He doesn't understand. He is not one of us.)

Albort, I hear, is gleefully claiming to have evaded me all week. I must confess I didn't have a chance to look for him until yesterday afternoon. DS7 and I cruised pretty thoroughly through CA looking for some shortish lines on rides, and I was scanning the face of every ODV CM we passed. But they were mostly women for some reason, and I at least know he's definitely XY. We had to leave the park around 4:45PM for dinner reservations, so I'm guessing Albort was either not working yet, or must have been along some path we didn't take.

We actually were at MHT for only 1.5 hours. We started out dashing to see Mickey and Minnie at the waterfront, then headed to the carnival games, then to the carousel, up the boardwalk and into the pirate area, then into Bug's Land to ride Heimlich's Chew Chew Train.

After that the boys were done in, so we left. (Let's see, that's about $1.11 a minute, one expensive event!) Crowds of people were still streaming in as we were leaving. Ah, well...

BOOOOOO!!! Next time i guess...

By the way, what the heck is with the huge crowd on Friday night (Oct. 12)??? We re-entered the park in the evening and it took us forever to walk up Main St. and through Adventureland to Critter Country! All the lines for the rides were the longest I've ever seen, so we just kept passing them and moving on to something else; I think we finally did wait in line for Buzz or Pirates, then called it a night. :(

DH heard a CM say the crowd was as heavy as what they see at Christmas!

Hi Alex and Albort! Alex, welcome back to the 2nd happiest place on earth. I had a busy day today. Here was my project.

Now you know why I had to laugh when Lynn asked me if I put lights on the trees in my yard at Christmas! Yeah right, anyone have a crane?:lmao: The inflatable Shrek is about 8 feet tall. I thought I did a rather good job, considering that I'm not very artsy, craftsy!:thumbsup2
