I hate worst the ones where people are talking about how stupid other people are who have a differing opinion on hot topics like religion, politics, parenting, etc. Some people spout off shockingly obnoxious views, and I'm not sure if they really believe and behave that way in person, or if they're just making some noise on the internet because it's anonymous, you know? They'd never really say that to someone face to face.

Some regulars are amazingly supportive, there are a few people I love to read their responses because they're well thought out, helpful, non-judgmental. But even on those threads there always seems to be somebody who has to point out to an upset OP about how they "need to get a spine" or "suck it up" or "it's your fault", whatever. How does that help if somebody is already upset over something? It's not a Dr. Phil kind of response where it's trying to lead the person to a resolution, it's just judgmental and hurtful. WTH??? :confused3

There are some DIS members who used to be on all the time. Now it seems like I rarely see them or they just sort of disappeared. :confused3 I hope they weren't scared off by the people you mentioned. I never see Rosie or Darth Nader anymore. Rarely see Patti or spazzyjazzy

I agree with you...most people would not have the guts to state their comments in person. :sad2: I believe that some of them are just those who search for drama or have to create their own.

No, just no response at all. It may be that the designer(s) are just super busy, and I get that. It's just disappointing. At this point I'm not going to worry about it unless I hear back like tomorrow or Monday. It's getting down to the wire!!!

Did they give you an order # where you could check online? :confused3 Maybe you could try calling them on Monday to find out the status. I do hope you get them in time. :)

I think there are some decal carts in the malls that make t-shirts too. I'm not sure if they can print images you find from the internet. :confused3

Exactly! There used to be someone in my life like that, a friend of my sister's. As I got to know her more, she would complain about my sister all the time, about poor decisions she was making, and nagging me to get in my sister's business.

I finally wound up having enough and cutting her out of my life. She was a pathological liar and just seemed to be doing whatever she could to make waves. Turns out while she was nagging me to get on my sister's back, she was encouraging my sister in the same activities! I just found that out recently.

She was close to my mom and sister and came to family events, so it was difficult for many years, and ironically, my mom and sister blamed ME! But now my sister knows what kind of person she is and is no longer friends with her either.

really? i remember txtin Shawna and they were like uhhhh, how do we txt back??? :P

I had the Maroon 5 ringtone of "Makes Me Wonder." I remember texting Shawna. She text me back but she said she wasn't good at it. :) I thought she did fine. :thumbsup2

Andrea's DD Lauren almost made me cry! She asked me if I was going to come back the next day and I said I didn't know. Then she went: "Aww.." and dropped her head down and stuck out her arms to hug me! I felt so bad!

Ohhh, no! These aren't through a company, no money exchanging hands. I'm talking about the DIS people who design things for free. They post their designs, and if you ask them, they'll personalize the design or make tweaks you request.

It's not a big deal, I just thought the designs would be cute on a t-shirt. We have plenty of t-shirts for the boys, so it's not like they won't have anything to wear. :rotfl:

I tried to make a shirt on Zazzle and they said they couldn't use the sig pic I made. :sad1:

Oh I see. I'm glad you didn't pay for it yet. :thumbsup2 There is a company next door to my work who makes t-shirts. I doubt they would make me a shirt. lol

I remember that. These folks post the design, you download it and print it onto transfer paper, then iron it onto your shirt. There's all kinds of info on that forum about which type of shirts, DOs and DON'Ts, even websites to get inexpensive shirts and transfer paper. :thumbsup2

It's midnight, waaaaay past your bedtime, missy!
(And mine, too...) :rolleyes1

I better get to bed. Hope you have a good night pix (and did I see an Albort post somewhere, too?) :cloud9:

I know! I should go to sleep. I woke up past 12 today! :scared1: Have a goodnight and I hope you have an awesome day! :yay:

hahahahhaa, your lucky, she hates me :P

check how mad she is when i put my name tag on her :P

I'm so happy that you and your family are going! Yay!! :yay: :cheer2: I know it's tough to wait and the planning alone makes you want to go even sooner!

I never thought I would make friends on the DIS. I didn't really talk to anyone and I found the DIS through Google. I was wondering if there was a Disney board and voila! The DIS was found! I posted now and then but didn't really talk to anyone. Then last year Shawna's thread brought all of us together! It's so awesome to have met and hung out with you guys and I hope to meet you too! :yay:
Thats the same as me. I was trying to do some planning for upcoming trip and thought I'd check if there was a DL forum, not sure why I thought of it though, anyways the rest is history. I recently found a thread where Shawna posted her first question ever and Ironically almost all the hyena's answered her. None of us knew eachother or her at the time.
I have the Little Princess movie with Liesel Matthews. It always makes me cry buckets! One day my cousins came over and the eldest of the 3 of them always acts tough. Well she broke down and cried too! :)
This reminded me of the time I invited my friend over to watch steel Magnolias with Julia Roberts. It always makes me cry, well we get to the sad part and Sally Fields makes a really funny sound before she starts crying in the movie which I had never heard before so I busted out laughing really loud and turned to look at my friend but she was bawling her eyes out we were both embarrassed lol.

Oh and you really need to see sense and sensibility. I read the book first and then found the movie at the video store it was in true likeness to the book it was very well done.

Good morning, hyenas!
Rain, rain, rain, for the foreseeable future. (Not that I'm going to care in 5 days!!!)

I spent the night getting kicked by DS3 every 10 - 15 minutes. GEESH, that kid is busy in his sleep!

I was awake at 6:00 a.m. when DH got up to use the bathroom, and when he came back I whined and told him we HAVE to get that kid sleeping in his own bed! DH didn't answer, just grabbed the little monster and snuggled him tight in hopes that he'd keep his feet off of me. I appreciate the gesture, but by then I was wide awake. No more sleep for Mama.

Today's schedule: Grocery shopping and laundry, laundry, laundry! Got big heaps of it that I need to get through before we go on vacation. The cool thing about having such crappy weather here is that I can pack up the summer clothes we'll be taking on the trip now, and finish washing the regular clothes so they'll be ready for us when we return. No mad rush to do laundry once we get back. :thumbsup2

Egads! You mean it's under 70F in the evenings?! ;)

Last Friday night I was standing outside a restaurant with my friends. It was around 11PM and we were chatting a bit before heading to our vehicles. I hadn't brought my jacket into the restaurant, so I was standing there trying to keep my teeth from chattering. I think it was in the upper 40s.

I'm going to bring a sweatjacket for the nights we do the MHT or stay for fireworks, but I don't think it will be necessary otherwise unless there's a cold spell. Last year DH and I were fine in our shorts and t-shirts, but we did put a jacket on the boys some evenings.

well, just recommending you to bring something a bit heavy... better something than nothing... :)

Maybe its just me... it feels cold sometimes even with the jacket... maybe because this week was a bit cold...
