All this talk of kit kats, had to go look for sweets. Found Whoppers- clunk clunk out rolls TWO whopper balls. Why can't they just finish it? TWO left and they put it away??? :sad2:
:rotfl2: When I lived with my brother I had that problem so bad. He would leave half a sip of juice in teh jug and put back in the fridge. So then I would think we had juice but we DIDN'T!
ohhhhh that's mean!!
:lmao:

I think he does a little bit, he keeps asking me over and over
How many did I have? (4)
The boys saw one? (yes, Justin helped me move him away from a table).

He told me he was trying to tell the dialysis staff what meds he was on ... he could only remember the Dilantin and forgot his routine meds (that he has been on for years).

Yeah it was a bit mean, but he was mean to me by not taking his meds and scaring the bejeevies out of me by having 3 seizures in one day, one took place when he was in the middle of a conversation with me, that's not fun.

How is your dh dealing with this? It's strange that it's happening now and not at a younger age, I wonder if the seizures are being triggered by something else. Do the doctors have an idea?

We don't eat much candy either. We have trouble getting rid of the candy after Easter or Halloween, so we send a bunch with DH to work. Those DEV people are vultures, I tell ya, they'll eat ANYTHING!!! :lmao:

But I do buy the mini-size candy to keep in a jar in the kitchen, for when I get a chocolate craving. I love the little Snickers and the mini Hersheys mixed bars. I've gotten more into dark chocolate lately, I must be turning into a grown-up. :lmao:

How do resist grabbing one everytime you walk by the jar filled with chocolate goodness? That jar wouldn't last a day in my household.

I'm so worried about dh's heart, he does zero excercise and eats a load of junk but he refuses to listen to me. I don't buy the junk so he goes and buys it himself, and I can't force him to be active obviously. He is chubby but not fat yet, but I don't know what to do. So I just eat healthy and worry about my own heart. I think he'll come around, hes very competitive so maybe when he see's me dropping pounds he'll want to beat me.
Well, feel free to tell him about my DH. Very physically active into his early 30s, then not so much. Used to eat a terrible diet! Lots of fried foods, lots of candy and donuts. We used to eat out a lot, because we both worked and it was easy. We ate out less once the kids came along, but the heart thing just came out of the blue and knocked us flat! We were so shocked when the doc said (ate age 35 or 36) that he had problems with his arteries!

He gets angina (chest pain), and sometimes it's really bad, but he hasn't had an actual heart attack yet. He had a stent (metal mesh tube) installed in one artery, and has to carry nitro pills wherever he goes. He asked, "How will I know if I'm having a heart attack?" and the doc said the heart attack is a heck of a lot more painful than angina, and HE'LL KNOW. Right now sometimes he has to sit down when the angina is really bad, but the doc said with a heart attack (aside from other symptoms) he will not be able to get up. That's when you take the nitro. If the pain doesn't lessen within 5 minutes, take another. If the pain doesn't lessen in 5 more minutes, call 911! :scared1:

In short, it sucks, and it's very scary. And once you have heart disease, it doesn't get better, it's a disease that just gets progressively worse. Your dietary and exercise and medication choices just determine whether it happens sooner or later. :(

He's kinda reeling with the news.
Keeps asking "why now?", considering everything else we deal with already.. it does make us pause and wonder if the move was a good idea.:guilty:

He sees a doc for follow up today, I wish I could go with him but it's right after school and then he would need to speed off to dialysis.

I have a feeling it may be related to two things: he was out of a blood pressure med BOTH times and had complained of a headache because his hypertension wasn't under control.
AND right now his calcium level is very low, he seems to be more sensitive to imbalances than prevously (if he eats too many potassium foods he gets shaky/twitchy muscles).

But hey didn't address either of these in the emergency room :confused3  it's all very preplexing.

I don't know, really. I definitely could not have a jar of peanut M&Ms, that would be my downfall. So I picked something that I could limit my intake. These are all individually wrapped, so no vague idea of how many I've had already, like taking a handful of M&Ms. :rotfl:

Oh my. That would be scary and for both of you. I'll definately pass it on to dh maybe he'll smarten up. He recently told me he can't wait until disneyland because he's going to gain weight with all the delicious food we don't have in scotland :sad2:

Anyways I'm falling asleep so I'm taking off. Have good evening everyone.

That is a young age to be having heart disease.

DS3: No. I wan' some wadder.
Me: Then go in the bathroom and get a cup and get some!
DS3: No. I wan' some wadder.
Me: OK, come on.

I get him some water in a cup. He refuses to drink it.
Me: OK, you either drink it or you don't.

I walk out of the bathroom, and he follows, crying.
DS3: Mama, I wan' some wadder.
Me: I gave you some wadder.
Ds3: Noooooooo!
Me: [DS3], go drink the water.
DS3: I tan't. It gone.
Me: Did you drink it?
DS3: No.
Me: Then what happened to it?
DS3: I po' it.
Me: You poured it down the sink.
DS3 nods.
Me: Gee, that's too bad.

Of course now he's really upset and hanging on my arm. So I better go.

See ya later!

<---I hope he doesn't do this next!

correction, soy sauce on rice is an american thing. :)

They only use soy sauce (a little bit) when they make brown fried rice. When I make fried rice I don't use any sauce. I don't like soy sauce very much. :crazy2:
