Thats the plan! Once a year, so we can have more fun! We find it less stressful to go for a long trip, and stay on site. Dh thinks the best time to go will be christmas... We will see.

Be thankful for a grandma that actually wants to bring gifts.... My MIL doesn't give gufts at all, once in awhile she will suprise us with gift cards for the boys.. but she won't even call them on birthdays or Christmas.. we call her instead.

It's weird, last time E talked to her he asked "do you want to talk to the boys" she replied " I don't know what to say to them."

"uhhhhhhh, just talk to them. They want to talk to you."


We let N chew her ear off for a good 15 minutes. He's my sociable child.


My mom on the other hand.. will buy used books and send us big boxes full of stuff on their birthdays. We have to remind her that N is not a little guy anymore (he's 11), he would rather have books or rocket kits like the big kids than hot wheel cars and coloring books.
At least the coloring books get some action, I used them in preschool for patterns or copy them off to have on hand for rainy days in the classroom.

My mom sends the kids stuff alot. She tends to use things as a replacement for face time. But what can you do?

Trying to take it slow! The dust is not really something thats going to go away overnight! Tonight on the evening news, they even said don't use water, but a damp mop(??) So as to not let the ash go into the storm drains? Whadda we suppose to do, put it in a box and give it as a Christmas present?

I DON"T think I am going to damp mop our roof!! do these people not realize that if we dont water it off our roof, we will simply wait until it rains, and it will end up in the gutter anyway?

Arrrhhhhhh!

My boyfriend and I helped my little sister carve a pumpkin yesterday. We did one of scooby doo wearing a witch's hat. I wish we had disney patterns for pumpkins.

A mop doesn't sound practical to me either. How are are you from DL? An hour and a half? I think that's how long it takes my sister to get here....about an hour to an hour and a half. Same driving distance as me.

aww that's ok, getting enough rest is more important.. plenty of other opportunities in the future.

Not terribly crowded. I noticed people were just arriving at 1:30 pm while we were leaving. I prefer going in the morning to beat the crowds.

By noon lines were about: 20 minutes for Buzz, less than 5 Star Tours, 15 for the Astro rockets, 35 for Space.

Crowd was getting a little more frenzied as we were leaving. Witnessed a mom scream at her whining preschooler, face to face "SHUT UP!"

Hit all the rides we wanted, skipped DCA-- sorry Albort. Got wet on Splash as single riders and called it a day.

That sounds about right, but one day there was really good traffic and I made it there in about ninety minutes!!

Okay... i have to tell you all that I am stupid.... So I have been baking bread almost daily for a while now, right? Well... The past few weeks it has been turning out wrong. WTH? What am I doing wrong? I just could not figure out for the life of me WHY my bread had suddenly gone SO wrong. I was using the same recipe, all the same stuff... But it was overflowing the pan, sticking to the machine, burning... The texture was off... Took me almost a MONTH to realize it all happened when i opened up the new bottle of yeast. Yeah, I was using the wrong yeast.. Im stupid.

We also like to stay longer and stay onsite, but we were really put off by the crowds this trip. I can't even imagine what it would be like at Christmas! DH and I are still trying to decide when to go again. Oh, that reminds me, I need to register my AP online so I get notices about AP rates!

I can't stand to see parents screaming at their kids like that. It's one thing when they misbehave, but it makes me want to cry when I see parents pulling their kids arms real hard or spanking them full force. I can't stand the yelling close to the face thing either. Terrible!

bummer, easy mistake to grab the quick rise kind. I don't like quick rise even for making dough by hand.. it doesn't taste the same as a nice slow rise.

I know... we are kind of dreading this trip.. but next year we are thinking about hitting it the first or second week of december. If we go at all... Who knows?
