Hey, guys! I feel like I've been away forever! I went out with the girls on Friday until late,then spent all day yesterday at a scrapbooking workshop, then we cleaned house like mad all day today!

Thhe house looks pretty good, and we're all set for great-grandma's visit tomorrow.

She called already to ask what kind of books the boys like, since she was just on her way to the bookstore.

We've told her the boys have way too much already (and they do, we spent all day trying to put it away!) She says she hates to show up empty-handed, but the boys are just so excited to see her and spend time with her. She adores them, and they eat it up!

Be thankful for a grandma that actually wants to bring gifts.... My MIL doesn't give gufts at all, once in awhile she will suprise us with gift cards for the boys.. but she won't even call them on birthdays or Christmas.. we call her instead.

It's weird, last time E talked to her he asked "do you want to talk to the boys" she replied " I don't know what to say to them."

"uhhhhhhh, just talk to them. They want to talk to you."


We let N chew her ear off for a good 15 minutes. He's my sociable child.


My mom on the other hand.. will buy used books and send us big boxes full of stuff on their birthdays. We have to remind her that N is not a little guy anymore (he's 11), he would rather have books or rocket kits like the big kids than hot wheel cars and coloring books.
At least the coloring books get some action, I used them in preschool for patterns or copy them off to have on hand for rainy days in the classroom.

Do your kids not like Ariel's Grotto? I miss eating there....I heard they close early now?

We have opted out on Ariels Grotto for now. Mikalah is to young to care, and Alex could give a hoot. So maybe when the baby is older... Who knows?
