Can't remember if I posted this but by BFF's daughter had her brain surgery on Monday. It looks like everything went well. The Dr. did a cat scan on Tuesday morning and the shunt is working properly. She is still in the ICU but should be moving to a regular room later today. I can't wait till she's in a regular room so I can send balloons and flowers and a big stuffed bear! Oh, remember the MIA dad??? Well my BFF tracked him down and he actually showed up to his sister's house like he said he would and BFF drove him herself down to the hospital on Monday morning. Looks like he's MIA no more. Hopefully he'll stick around this time. BFF has a boyfriend and he was not too happy about Dad being back in the picture. Boyfriend has been raising the baby as he's own so we'll see what happens now.

I'm glad your surgery went well!! I hope things work out between her and her father. I'm sure she'll love all the flowers and stuff you want to send her!!

What's up Alison! I'm on my break. I've been busy this afternoon. My parents went to pick up my little sister from school. I'm curious to see how her first day of middle school went. She was excited yesterday and told me that she was looking forward to P.E. class. She said they have DDR (dance dance revolution) as an option for phys ed!

I'm just sitting here with bloodshot eyes from all this internet surfing. All of the hotels & towns are starting to look alike, UGGHHH!!! It's kind of interesting at first, but then it gets rather boring. We do this periodically when we aren't too busy. We've tried to have realtors look for us, but we have a much better feel of what type of property we want.

My kids start school on Tuesday. DS will be in the 4th grade so he goes to an intermediate school. Our schools are: Primary K-3, Intermediate 4-6, Middle School 7-8 and High School 9-12. Kind of sad that my last baby is out of the primary school. Kind of scary that my eldest is a sophomore!

I'm eating my lunch right now. I was too busy to eat earlier. I got Jamba Juice and there was NO LINE! Usually it's crowded at lunch time. I'm also eating a turkey, ham and swiss sandwich from Togo's.

I had lunch at a Thai restaurant with my boss. I always order my favorite. Arawan Fried Rice w/chicken. Yummy - has curried rice with chicken, tomatoes, onion & cucumbers. The kids are at their grandparents this week, so maybe DH & I will go out for dinner. Or maybe just sit around naked and eat popcorn for dinner! (J/K, that's our standing joke of what we do when the kids are gone!).

She doesn't wear a lot of makeup or anything, just looks older. She was offered alcohol 2 different times at DTD when we were there in June. Both times DH had to look at the server and say "No, she's only 15"!

Really? I'm 27, don't wear make up and I ALWAYS get carded!! Sometimes even for movies and it also happend when I went to a jazz club in Citywalk with my cousin and older sister. I don't drink alcohol but I did try a chocolate kahluah from TGIF once (which tasted horrible by the way).

One of my co-workers is two years older than me and she said: "I never get carded anymore! If you don't get carded it means you're old!!"

I got carded once right after I turned 40. I was at Winco, bought about $200 worth of groceries, along with beer & wine coolers for a bbq we were having. I had both the kids with me and the idiot guy carded me. What was so funny was when he asked for my ID, I told him, oh I'm paying cash. I thought he wanted ID if I was writing a check! I think he felt a little embarrased after he seen how old I was. But I told him it was ok, he made my day!

One time my mom wore her hair in a half pony tail. She was at Costco with my dad and he had walked out of the store first. She was looking for him and a sales associate said: "Oh! Miss? Your dad just left the store!" My mom started laughing really hard and said: "That's not my dad! That's my husband!"
