Staley, are you just spending one night on your drive down? What dates exactly are you at DL? I know Alex doesn't get there till the 5th!

Andrea

We are leaving Friday afternoon, on the 28th. Driving to the California coast to see the redwoods, and spending the morning there. Then we are driving down to SoCal, and I managed to get the Ent. rate at the Hojo's for Saturday night... Then we Check into the PP and start our vaca for real!!:woohoo: :woohoo: We are at Dl til the 7th, and we switch to the GCH on the 3rd. Should be FUN!!!

Wow, a whole 8 nights, I am jealous!!! Sounds like fun! Did you all get MHT tickets for the 5th?

yup!! I dont know what Mikalah is going to be yet though.... Alex is going to be a red power ranger, and so far we have a ballerina costume, last years Sleeping beauty costume, which is almost WAY to small for her, a fairy costume, and a skunk costume.... But Costco has some REALLY cite princess costumes. It is taking EVERY thing I have in me not to but one for her...

:rotfl2: I know! Starbucks sold out of the chop chop salad I like! I didn't get fries and I got the 6 pc chicken mc nugget. Their filet o' fish shrunk!!

Yeah... I cant really do fish sandwiches... I love fish, I live in the PNW for crying out loud... But fried fish patties? Hmmm... I dont think so!:lmao: But I do love me some nuggets!:lmao: I used to get a 20 pack when I was pg, with both kids, and just sit and munch on them!!:thumbsup2

Yeah Filet of Fish was good wayyyyyy back when I was akid, last one I had was McNasty fish ugh!

ok, I started a notebook with everyone's dates, I can't keep it straight in my head anymore.. ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

ok, what dates again, sorry asking for umpteenth time, Andrea???

I got Staley and Alex2K entered so far.

Yeah, nuggets are good! I've only liked them since they went to all white meat though!

I rarely eat filet o'fish. I got ripped off...it's mostly bread and tartar sauce. The fish is really small for some reason.

I wanted to bring my leftover chicken soup from last night but I went home and fell asleep. I was sooo tired this morning. I haven't eaten anything all day. I've been swamped with paperwork again. :faint:

hey, stop that Poly!

I set my plate down (our new computer desk is tiny) , and she licked it clean.
Sour cream with a bit of Dorito leftovers. Not exactly good kitty food.

Mcdonald on Harbor blvd :P

iono, Pizza port!
i have heard that alot .:goodvibes , Thanks:hug:

Yay, Christina!!! :woohoo:

Sorry to hear about the pulled muscle. We just tried out the wii bowling. DH was so pleased with it until he had me try it out, and I got strike after strike. And when DS3 tried it, he got like 125! :rotfl2:

I would guess that Goofy's is a safe bet: Plenty of characters, and a lively 'show' that gets the kids up and dancing with the characters. I think it's the most popular character meal.

Lilo & Stitch is a lot of fun, too. Also involves a little 'show' and playing a musical chairs type game with the kids. Typically only 5 characters.

We're doing Minnie & Friends this time around, in hopes that DS3 gets to see the Pooh characters there. He would LOVE that!

If you have girls in the party (and good-natured boys) you might consider Ariels (Princess meal). For a quiet, more sedate meal, I'd suggest Chip & Dale's (Storyteller's Cafe.)

We're going to do Storytellers for the first time this trip, too, but I don't expect the boys will enjoy it as much as the livelier meals, and I think typically there are only 4 animal characters there. :)
we are doing goofy's kitchen and me and my DD6 and ds 2 will be doing ariel's grotto. i don't think quiet and sedated is any of my kids:rotfl: well maybe the 2yr old (yes i said 2 yr old he is such a good boy... and dd6. thanks for all the help:hug:

Pizza Port, excellent choice Albort! Kid friendly pasta and pizza, salads for the parents or yummy Alfredo. You can buy a whole pizza too. (Pricier than Domino's)

Plaza Inn is nice, HUGE portions. We buy two plates of the chicken meal and share it between the four of us ( 2 adults, 11, and 14 yr old boys) .. and feel overly stuffed at the end. It's 3 pieces of chicken, mashed potatoes with gravy, green/yellow beans, and a biscuit $12.99. Served on platters! Refills for pop (soda) are free. The only sucky part is seating can be a challenge inside, though we have lucked out and snagged an inside table the last 4 times. Check the left side, most people go to the right.

White Water Snacks inside the Grand Californian is nice, easy exit from DCA (yes, you can go back into the park that way, ignore the signs which say hotel guests only). Made fresh and big portions, adults will be satisfied with child portion meals. Small kids can easily share the chicken fingers meal- BIG pieces and tons of fries. They also have premade salads, desserts, sandwhiches, and fresh fruit trays. Prices a bit less than in the parks, and better tasting too.. DCA has crappy dining options IMO.
It's very peaceful in the outdoor seating area.
If you're really quiet, one of the Disney cats might come up to your table for a treat. (She doesn't like fries, give her hamburger or chicken and she will even let you pet her for a minute. I have had the same white/orange/brown long hair tabby visit me on two trips.. a year apart!)

IHOP on Harbor has kids eat free, but heard they have horrible service... sloooooooooooooooooooooooooooooow.

McDonald's on Harbor, there is a 10% off coupon here. Print a bunch!
http://www.anaheimoc.org/Articles/Archive/Webpage10153.asp
Maybe buy those treat coupon books? Free fries, free drink, ice cream, etc.. I had really old ones from 2002, gift certificates don't expire in California. If you're walking back and forth to the hotel, it's easy to pop in and have a treat on the way..... mmmm ice cream cones!
They do have the dollar menu at that location, it's just hiding behind a freezer.
thank you for the info and the coupons you rock.... i will print up a ton and a half:laughing:

Did you eat a fishy Mc Nasty? ;)

I don't know when I'm supposed to go to the park! I'm waiting for my older sis to e-mail me back. :headache: If she doesn't go then I'll just meet with you guys on a date after the MHT.

Shoot... that reminds me, i need to change some of our dining ressies!
