Unpopular Opinions?

Kids 6 and older do not need to be pushed around in a stroller unless there is a medical need. Make the kid walk!

lol, I had my long legged 7 year old in a stroller at last visit (May). We had an agenda to make and she can’t keep up with my calve-busting speeds of power walking.

This is the era of no AP, Disneyland’s too expensive at full price to walk slow!

Plus I need something to stash water containers, merch, snacks, etc… our youngest will will start using the stroller next visit, so 7 year old just bought more time with the stroller on the roller board (until she goes past 66lbs, she’s 52lbs at the moment).

1. I like The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh.
2. Buzz Lightyear feels very "20th Century tech" these days and should be redone.

I like the Pooh ride too. I would have LOVED it in my teenage stoner years lol. I personally have never liked the Buzz Lightyear ride and they could just get rid of it entirely and I'd be happy. I also don't care for the Midway Mania. I love Toy Story, but those rides do nothing for me.

I agree, they are so much fun! I've had similar experiences doing that. On nights when the parks close early, they held private corporate parties after park closure.

My job in the 2000's required me to go on all expenses paid week long IBM\Lotus conferences held every year at the WDW Swan and Dolphin resorts (non-Disney owned but on Disney property hotels).

Part of the conference, on the last night on Thursday's, they'd rent out a local area theme park. When they close to the public at 7pm, they'd then hold a party for us from 8pm to 11pm. Several years it was at SeaWorld, Universal Studios Island of Adventure.....although my favorites were when they were held at the Disney Parks. They had it at Epcot twice and another time at Animal Kingdom.

Nothing like having a free run of an empty theme park to go on rides for 3 hours with unlimited food, alcohol and a DJ playing music over the park's sound system.
My issue with these "pay extra for" or "private" events is that the parks used to be available to everyone (included in your very expensive vacation) and now we lose at least 2-3 nights at the parks on our vacation. Last trip I shelled out $175 Cdn for AK after hours. It was worth every penny. I think there was about 75 people there. But....... MK was closed at 7pm three nights of my vacation. No more staying until 1 or 2 am. Those nights used to be the highlight of my trip. All of the pixie dust now costs big if you can find it at all.

Pooh ride and Buzz and TSM are what I call "cardboard room rides" the walls are too fake for me. They lack the imagination and story of HM, SM etc. But many people love them, so something for everyone.

This was one of the main reasons my kids stayed in strollers longer than they might otherwise have!

I despise bubble wands and the endless streams of soapy bubbles they inflict on all those unfortunate enough to be in their line of fire.

Those bubble wands are THE DEVIL!

Preach!

My sucker mom bought the Ariel one for my child without realizing that in addition to spewing airborne vessels of stickiness everywhere, it also plays obnoxious music. It went to her house - and mysteriously disappeared shortly thereafter.

I guess the fact they keep selling it must indicate their is an audience!

We were given two of them at the end of the night as CA was closing since they were going to toss them. They were fine but probably not something I would pay for.

I haven't tried one yet, but my teenage daughters love them. For me, it always too hot to be eating a steaming hunk for meat. While I think I might like it on a cooler visit, there is something kind of gross about its size and the required method of eating it.

I hate the DLR Pooh ride because of how good the trackless version is at TDL. It just makes the DLR version look cheap by comparison, and it bugs me.

Maybe we should ask the question: does anyone like the turkey leg? Not sure if I have ever seen anyone express a desire for it. I feel like that would be the unpopular opinion.
My now 7 yr old DD loves the turkey leg. I have a pic of her at 5 just gobbling it up. She finishes the whole thing too 😅. It IS an entire meal for her, with maybe room for part of a churro afterwards.

I liked the Orange Stinger theme better than Silly Symphony Swings, and I liked Mulholland Drive theming better than Goofy’s Sky School. Surprise, surprise: I liked Tower of Terror better than Guardians of the Galaxy.
I hate GoG it makes me motion sick and ToT is scary, more fun, and doesn't make me ill. I am sure too cos I went in April at WDW.

Buzz is my hands down favorite ride at DLR. It's usually my first to ride, along with Pirates. I also never realized how much the Pooh Corner store was my favorite until it was closed during covid. I'm neutral about Midway Mania, I feel like every time I ride it there's some glitch or another.

Strollers of size were a huge pet peeve for me until they added in the size requirements.
I'm also a not fan of the DL silhouettes

I won’t return again and/or even consider buying a key until masks are optional again, a la May/June, and the trams are running again.

And here goes… I think RotR was just a technologically advanced dark ride. After all that fuss to get a boarding group I was disappointed. My Star Wars obsessed son got to go twice due to using rider switch and he even said it was cool but he doesn’t care if we ever ride it again.

Another one, most of the food (treats excluded) at DL/DCA/DTD is bad. We have done counter service, sit down, and buffets and there isn’t much that I would ever go out of my way to eat again. The one thing I did really enjoy didn’t come back after COVID :( We watch a lot of Disney vloggers who try all these things and give rave reviews and I honestly think they are full of it :rotfl2:
