Unmarked exits on rides?

So I've taken the ALICE training and after last week's events it left me thinking about exit strategies for several attractions and rides that we were on while at the parks. There were so many times where a clear exit is not marked, which is concerning if there were ever an emergency such as a fire, shooting, bomb, etc. I'm guessing Disney has some sort of evacuation plans, but can someone provide some insight as to how one would exit a ride with no lit exit sign? I'm thinking it would be total pandemonium and envision a trampling situation. I know it's awful to think this way, but in today's day and age it's always good to know where exits are, wherever you are.

Two examples.. we were at the interactive area in Spaceship Earth and no clear marked exits. Also, several dark rides had no lit exit signs, which I'm assuming is a safety issues so people don't jump out of a ride and get hurt, but how would one evacuate if need be?

Not trying to be negative but after everything that went on last week.. it had me thinking about these things and how I would keep my family safe.

There are lit emergency sings in all rides, they just try to semi-hid them. If the ride did have an emergency, Disney has evacuation plans. For most rides (if the people need to be evacuated off) a cast member comes around to unload guest and led them safely to an exit. In some cases, the fire department is called to help out in order to safely remove guest from a ride. I wouldn't worry about safety at Disney, as long as you and your family follow the rules.

There are exit signs in dark rides, but they are not lit while the ride is in operation.

This is how it was explained (and I'm probably missing a detail or two, but this is the gist):

Since Disney is basically self-governing, they are not required to keep exit signs lit at all times. They have essentially written laws that dictate when the light must be on, and active operation is not one of those times. When the ride is down, the lights will go on. This is to keep the theming consistent (because would there really be an exit sign in the Haunted Mansion?)

If you go over to Universal on the other hand, which is in Orlando proper and governed by the City of Orlando, their exit lights ore on, because that's what Orlando says has to happen.

Not an emergency situation - but - when they had mechanical issues with Ellen's Energy Adventure - the CM told us the rest of the story & the rest of the CMs calmly & skillfully emptied the ride one row at a time.

I feel the CMs are well trained for emergencies. They appear to know their job well.

Thing is even if you know where the in ride exits are.. You're strapped into a ride vehicle. Either way you have to have a CM come release you form the ride vehicle and from there they will direct you to the appropriate exit for the situation.

Yes, we're trained on emergency situations and evacuations before we actually learn the aspects of our role. Then we have to do periodic refreshers and assessments to make sure we are still in compliance.
