Does anyone have an idea what happens if you can't use a ticket? You know at least a week in advance. I'm assuming mult day tickets are use or lose after first use.

Change dates? Partial refund? Apply value toward ticket purchase?

My credit card offers some travel insurance. Tickets are not covered.

As I understand it you can use the self service option in the app to change dates - if it cost more you have to make up the difference - not sure what they do if its less.

Worth noting that a one day ticket to either or the other parks will cost 169 on opening weekend. I dunno... I'll guess 199, but... what if it's the same price? Especially given that this is an exclusive offer for APs, and the new hotel prices are very reasonable, keeping this consistent might be within the realm of possibility.

I got the impression that APs got the first crack at Epic-only single day tickets, but that they will be available for anyone to purchase "soon" / before Epic opens. Granted that Epic single day tickets for opening weekend will most likely be sold out before the general public can access them.

Opening weekend tickets are 196 per day, 1 epic 2 old. That suggests almost a $90 uncharge for epic. $250 could be low

My guess is $229 for the opening days and the busy seasons.

199.95 - I suspect they will want to keep it under the 200 for advertising.

I might even do something like starting at 169.95 - but it will only be a handful of days at that price.

Just to mention it - of course it depends on how sensitive you are - but this is a kiddie ride - the company that build this makes two version sand this is the tame one. Still might be too much for some folks with motion sickness - but just to mention it - its pretty slow and not all that crazy a spin from what I've read. My dad could not do Cat in the Hat (it used to spin a lot more) so I understand people can be affected by even a kiddie ride.

Unfortunately motion sickness doesn't work like that as in it doesn't matter who the target audience is for it, the tameness or the like. But I like to try a ride at least once if I think I can.

I can do some spinning, like I rode Aquatopia multiple times at DisneySea which has spinning but if that thing had spun in the same rotation a bit more I would have been a goner. On the other hand Peter Pan at DisneySea, which is like spiderman at Universal, ignited my motion sickness almost immediately which I knew was a risk. Then on the other hand I can do Mater at DCA, Alien Swirling Saucer at DHS and Baymax at TDL which are all the same but tea cups is no go, I can do MIB but I have to breathe deeply and close my eyes for the few moments where it spins.

I've watched testing videos of Curse of the Werewolf which uses the same type of vehicle that Time Traveler at Silver Dollar City does (which I did not even attempt for more than just the spinning). Even though Curse of the Werewolf may see like it's tamer that spinning is not tame for the prone to motion sickness depending on what triggers it combined with the rollercoaster aspect of going up and down. Guardians is similar too however Guardians has the motion simulator as well which increases it (like Peter Pan at DisneySea had) which while I did attempt Guardians that will never be a second attempt. I'm sure my husband will ride it then let me know if he thought it would be not for me.

I'd like to go on all the new stuff but I'd be fine if I couldn't do everything (which I already know I can't), I can go through the queues and then wait off to the side for the rest of my party if I want to and with Universal they make that pretty easy to do so I have a lot of confidence that the theming alone will make me enjoy the new park regardless of what I can and can't do. It's the same with the existing parks

The one couple down in Orlando did say they were going to try and get single-day tickets tomorrow with their AP, I'll post back what their experience was assuming they still try for it. The other person didn't have an AP at this time (they used to)

Sounds like it started at 7 am eastern for yesterday's round so that's the best guess.

If it's similar to yesterday, then it would start at 7:00 A.M. You will be directed to a VQ and wait for your turn to enter the site to make a purchase. The entire process was a lot smoother than I had expected. The only time the system slowed down was during the credit card processing. I was getting a little bit nervous because it took at least 10 minutes for the transaction to go through.

People aren't willing to pay the $400 for LL. That product is DOA. People who are rich want the privilege associated with a tour.

Yes, there are people that will pay $400 for LL. Say it's a once in a lifetime Disney trip at a busy time like New Year's Eve. And you only have 2 days to experience all of Disney World.

It's meant for those people, not someone taking their family for 10 days and using it every day. Or someone who goes all the time.

And it's actually not that expensive if you think about it. Say I'm staying at the cheapest Disney Hotel - All-Star Sports ($300/night with tax) on Dec 31 and Jan 1. It would cost a family of four $2300 for the hotel and tickets. An extra day costs me $600 tickets + $300 = $900. Plus food, say $300 for 4 people. Plus losing a day at work. Let's say that's $400. An extra day is $1600. Four $400 passes is $1600. That's break even. Plus I'm doing all the rides and having fun, not standing in line 2 days straight and not getting to all the rides. And I have time to visit Epcot or the other 2 parks.

If I was staying at a more expensive resort, It would be better to buy that LL pass.

This is one thing that I will give Universal HUGE kudos for. I didn't hear of any glitches, IT capacity issues, etc. yesterday. I went in later in the day and was able to navigate quickly and easily through the website.

By contrast, I've done a number of limited capacity events with the Mouse and it is usually challenging at best (and I'm being very generous with my description here). I can't imagine the nightmare that it would if Disney were opening a 5th gate.

You're right, except for Shades of Green, which is $188 a night.

But that makes the math even better. If you're staying at the Polynesian for $1200 a night, then a $400 a day LL premiere pass per person is quite a deal. And it also proves that this isn't for the poor to middle class family of 4. This is for upper-middle class people.

Kinda doubt it though. Disney's IT glitches are legendary so I'm sure Universal wanted to be more than prepared.
