Hey everyone,

Does anyone here have any recent experience redeeming airmiles towards Universal tickets since the switch to redtag? Here is the issue. Had 4000 dream miles left in my account since switching over to cash miles. Decided on a last minute trip to Florida for a week to do universal and HHN. Redeemed 3985 miles for a 3 park 2 day p2p ticket with a start date of Monday, with the intentions to upgrade it to a 3 park preferred AP when we arrive. Made the purchase on the redtag airmiles site and received confirmation email. Last night received an email from "travel brands" with a link to a pdf with the travel documents. Here is the problem. The PDF it provided is only a pre-paid voucher that clearly states in all caps "this is not your tickets, your universal tickets with barcode are attached below". There are no tickets attached.

I know in past years, sometimes you receive a voucher that you exchange at the ticket window, but this clearly says that your tickets with barcode are attached below, and proceed directly to the turnstile with ID.

Called redtag, customer service is closed Sundays, emailed them, no reply. Called airmiles, customer service is closed Sundays. Called the 1800 number on the voucher, goes to a voicemail.

Our flight is tomorrow morning at 10am, our plan was to go right to Universal when we arrive. Just looking for some advice if anyone has experience with this. Thanks!!

i'm not sure if Airmiles proper will be able to help since it's thru Redtag BUT i do know that they are excellent at responding thru Facebook messenger 24/7 so you could try that and see if they can at least point you in the right direction.

Did you at least get something that looks to be a number that Universal would recognize? I know that any time I needed to reach out to them they were willing to do whatever they could to help.

Yeah, I wasn't expecting much help from Airmiles directly, but was hoping they would have some suggestions. Will try facebook messenger. The pdf has a file number listed. If I can't get any other suggestions, I will give Universal a call after work to see if they can assist.

Was able to call Universal ticketing, and they were unfortunately unable to help. The voucher I was issued has no number that they can look up in their system. I will need to contact the company that issued the voucher. Redtag customer service opens at 10am Monday and our flight departs 10am Monday. Wont be able to contact anyone until we are in Orlando. Looks like our first day will be a write-off.

I meant to update the thread on the situation but have been so busy I forgot.

I was able to get hold of someone from Travel Brands which issues the e-vouchers about 15 minutes before our flight to MCO. The lady was very helpful on the phone and was able to re-send the e-ticket to me and I received it before departing.

Just a data point if anyone else is wondering... had no issue upgrading the air miles purchased e-ticket to an annual pass. Was given the full online value of the ticket towards the upgrade.

Great! I will be doing that!

I am having the same issue with no tickets attached. Did you call them or get through on email?

I’ve purchased the same Travel Brands e-vouchers as you have through AirMiles and was just wondering what your e-voucher looked like? I simply have a confirmation number as well as my name and am worried it won’t be accepted at Universal. Any help would be appreciated!

That isn't accepted. Give them a call and tell them to email the tickets to you directly. We had the same problem.

Ugh...we are 24 days out...and I am going to pull the trigger and get our tickets soon. I am crossing my fingers I don't have the same trouble as all of you. But I have one more question.

With these tickets, do we need to do anything else with them? Example - take them to a tickets window for a hard copy or will we just be able to go the gates, do a finger scan and start riding rides?

The ticket you get can be taken right to the gate. It has a barcode.

Did you just take your air-miles ticket to the customer service just outside the park to upgrade to an annual pass?
