Hey everyone,
Does anyone here have any recent experience redeeming airmiles towards Universal tickets since the switch to redtag? Here is the issue. Had 4000 dream miles left in my account since switching over to cash miles. Decided on a last minute trip to Florida for a week to do universal and HHN. Redeemed 3985 miles for a 3 park 2 day p2p ticket with a start date of Monday, with the intentions to upgrade it to a 3 park preferred AP when we arrive. Made the purchase on the redtag airmiles site and received confirmation email. Last night received an email from "travel brands" with a link to a pdf with the travel documents. Here is the problem. The PDF it provided is only a pre-paid voucher that clearly states in all caps "this is not your tickets, your universal tickets with barcode are attached below". There are no tickets attached.
I know in past years, sometimes you receive a voucher that you exchange at the ticket window, but this clearly says that your tickets with barcode are attached below, and proceed directly to the turnstile with ID.
Called redtag, customer service is closed Sundays, emailed them, no reply. Called airmiles, customer service is closed Sundays. Called the 1800 number on the voucher, goes to a voicemail.
Our flight is tomorrow morning at 10am, our plan was to go right to Universal when we arrive. Just looking for some advice if anyone has experience with this. Thanks!!
