First-time visit and I realized that we'll be there for the week preceding Halloween. Universal Studios will be closing at 6:30 pm for HHN each night we're there except Monday and our kids are NOT ready for HHN lol. We'll spend our evenings at IoA or the hotel pool but are there any night-time shows at US that we should make sure we see since we'll only have the one night to see them?

They have the cinematic tribute show in the lake. Not sure it is every night. The show is a combination of film clips shown on water screens, lighting effects on the buildings, water cannons and fireworks. There is a viewing area in Central Park. Only a couple of benches, but the upper level has grass for a nice place to sit until the show starts. It runs about 15 to 20 minutes, the longer run time when I saw it was due to an added Olympic tribute at the start of the showing.

Thought you may have been thinking Studios. IOA also lights up Hogwarts Castle with rotating scenes. I asked at check in what nights the shows were running and I believe the app shows them also.

Studios closes at 5 for hhn nights
Reopens about 6 for hhn

no hhn on Monday and Tuesday

We are also going the week before Halloween. I was surprised to see only Monday has no HHN.
HHN starts at 6:30, but that's not when Studios closes, it closes at 5 to non-HHN guests.
