I have posted this on the Universal part of the forum.

Interested in the meal deal and wanted to know can we purchase this for children only.

DH and I are not big eaters during the day, and to ensure that DD eats 3 meals a day we were hoping that we could purchase this for her.

Or does adults have to purchase as well.

I do not know for sure, but I would tnink it would be OK, as you can buy the meal deal for as many or as few of the party as you want.

Princess from the way I understand it,from US website, first of all DD will need to be 9 or under-they state in the small print that you may be asked for proof! You have to be staying at one of the Universal hotels for a minimum of 3 nights & you have to buy your park tickets at the same time. They obviously make their money from you at the hotel & not being able to buy discounted tickets elsewhere also they will be hoping that you adults will be spending plenty at the same time! At least it's not like WDW where everyone in the party must buy the meal deal

I was answering for the bought meal deals that are bought in the parks on a day by day basis which give you a wrist band. I think Shooby doo is answering for the 'meal deal' that is part fo the current accomdation promotion.

I suspect the answer depends on which of these you were meaning.

Ah hadn't realised that US was doing that! Nothing in the small print stating that adults must buy the ticket too, have to say that at $8.99 for a child that is a good price not so sure about the adult price though! The only other thing worth considering is whether you would eat in the cafe/restayrants that you're limited to,in our case probably not.

I was thinking about the $8.99 day meal, we are on the DDP as staying on WDW site, and travelling to Universal for 3 days, so was thinking about getting the stuff she likes to eat ir mac and chesse, hot dogs etc.

Things she eats very little so not sure what the prices are like for 1 meal, if cheaper then maybe we will give it a miss.

Cheers for answering
