Universal Pictures

Great pics yaytez :) That one of your kids is too cute - know what you mean about it happening rarely. My youngest DD (11) gave her sister (12) a cuddle on Christmas Day and I was nearly in tears. It was the first time I'd seen them touch each other without using fists in years :rotfl: Wish I'd had a camera as I don't suppose it'll happen again for some time ;)

In this picture Spiderman jumped on the back of my chair and scared the bageeezes out of me. The poor guy waited patiently while my DD10 tried to take a picture. It took a lot of effort on his part to stay poised on the back of the chair and I could feel his muscles straining against my back. :faint:

There are straightforward instructions to posting pictures on the Technical board :)

Photobucket is an easy place to store them on the internet. If you need help and can't figure it out from the tech thread I can try to help. I had trouble at first with it but once you get it it is really easy. :goodvibes

Maggiew,

GREAT photos!! I love them. It looks like you and your family had a great time!! :)

My boys at the Hard Rock Hotel. They were ecstatic to see Slash's guitar and some Spinal Tap memorobilia :teeth:

:thumbsup2 Great photos everyone. It's my turn now.

IOA_stiltwalkers.jpg

It's interesting how I met these stiltwalkers at Universal Islands of Adventure theme park. Guests kept coming up to them to have their picture taken, but in a crowd, not a line. I emphatically declared, "I'm next!", and they actually thought that was my name. :)

CapAm05.jpg

No trip to IOA is complete without passing through Marvel Super Hero Island. Even thought this is not the best shot of Captain America, it's still an excellent representation of the Marvel heroes

Spiderman05.jpg

And here's the star of the Marvel Universe. Unfortunately, because of a certain tertiary character whom I loathe, I just can't seem to enjoy the comics as much as I'd like to. Can I help if if I can't stand bad things happening to heroes? Now, if the Fantastic Four was there...

Wolverine05.jpg

Speaking of bad things happening, here is someone you don't want to meet with in a dark alley. Funny story: when Wolverine here signed my autograph book, he turned it upside down to sign it. I had to get all my autographs signed that way. Hence the catchphrase that I made up: "Blame Logan".

xmen05.jpg

Now this is the best shot of the X-Men ever. It's also the first time I met Cyclops. Don't tell anyone, but I secretly have a crush on Rogue. ;)

BettyBoop.jpg

No, Bimbo the beagle has not morphed into a human. It's me with Betty Boop. Quite a surprise to find her as a theme park character, let alone one who resembles a human.

Popeye.jpg

These guys, on the other hand, do not, but that doesn't mean they can't be enjoyed as well. I know I certainly enjoyed their black & white adventures on Cartoon Network. Now if only they had a decent DVD release along with Woody Woodpecker.

Shrek.jpg

Meanwhile, at Universal Studios Florida, I finally managed to check out the Shrek 3D attraction. I've seen this episode on DVD before, but I never saw it with the added special effects, and I'm afraid I don't think I can replicate them as I don't quite know the cues. It's okay though. Shrek makes for a very useful mascot on my office cubicle.

ScoobyDoo.jpg

Now this photo is funny. All of a sudden, when I had this pic taken, my sister calls me on my cell phone, and I tried to explain where I was. I could have had Shaggy say hello and where we were, but I don't know if theme park characters who can speak can do that. I know Disney's characters would never be allowed to do so, but Universal's not Disney.

Marilyn.jpg

And of course, where else in USF could you meet popular historical movie stars. If only this lady were related to me, like someone's mom.

pacmanstatue.jpg

Although while not at Universal, the Pac-Man Cafe was the most unique dining/entertainment center in the Pointe Orlando shopping center. While it was in existence, it had excellent dinner choices with classic and modern arcade machines. And they had this kickin' statue of Pac-Man. What more could a video game fan ask for?

Cute pictures! I love the one of you with all the dwarves (I know, not universal, but still cute!)

BuddyGenie, wow you got to meet a ton of characters. I'm jealous :goodvibes

I didn't meet all the characters, willis. I passed on the Madagascar characters and most of the face characters at US. I just managed to get the Flintstones, Doc Brown & Olive Oyl on video.

And I didn't even see the Dr. Seuss characters, not even Green Eggs Guy (sorry, Laphin. :sad1: )

Can you show us those videos? I like to see them.

Cool photos everyone! :cool1:

We have a lot of characters to catch up with on our next trip - DD will be thrilled to meet the Madagascar crowd! :cheer2:

I'm not sure how to put up my pics, but I have a great shot of us on the Hulk - DH & DSIL looking terrified while DNephew and I pulled faces for the camera! :rotfl:

DD was so excited to meet the Grinch as we walked to his lair but when we viewed the photo, I looked a bit "weird" and DD looked a bit freaked-out! Of course, we bought the photo! :teeth:
