Universal makes the greatest rides in the world but can't make a night time show

I wonder if some of the problem people have with the show is an age thing? I know I am dating myself here but I had seen a lot of the movies that they showed clips of and I enjoyed the show immensely. My kids were sitting right next to me and it was as if they had seen a totally different show. They thought it was really boring. I asked my 18 year old if he had seen many of the movies they showed clips of and he thought maybe 10%. So he had no emotional connection to a lot of the clips like I did. When we were at Disney, the family had seen almost all the movies and I think it makes a big difference. By the way, I thought Fantasmic was boring, except for the dragon, and the crowd was scary. I liked this much better, but I might have not liked it as much if I had not found a place to sit. It would be a long time to stand still.

It is a shame, yes. It would have been better to spend that money on creating a new BTTF ride rather than trying to pay a lot of credit to it because they have realised it was a stupid mistake to replace with a fading cartoon.

Lol, how many posts you aiming at getting today?

I have seen US and WDW fireworks and US so called fireworks. I am unimpress with either. Both are right but my city puts on a awesome fireworks display. Lighting the city bridge is one most awesome sites I have seen.

I saw this show twice during my recent visit to Universal and LOVED it. However, I did have two almost entirely different experiences. Compared to my view the second evening, my view the first evening was not good. The first evening I sat over by Richter's Burger company. I stayed away from show spoilers so I did not know what was going to happen.

A little bit into the show, several fountains appear in the water and create another area that images are displayed onto. After my viewing on the second night from the other side of the lagoon, I feel it is integral to be able to see this in some way. From Richter's Burger company as well as the rest of that side of the lagoon (I walked a little ways up, trying to get closer to Mel's Diner), I could only make out a blurry image on the new screen and had no idea what was being projected.

So that first night, though I enjoyed the show, I left frustrated because I wondered what was being shown on that screen! My second viewing was over towards the Horror Make Up show and down right by the lagoon...AMAZING. I could make out the new screen which added a LOT to the experience, and really felt like a part of the action. Also, I had no idea images were being displayed on the building over behind the Richter's burger area...I saw this from my second evening vantage point as well.

So to sum it up, I felt the show was okay the first night, but absolutely unbelievable the second night... So I DEFINITELY recommend being on the side of the lagoon opposite from Richter's Burgers.

Also wanted to add that I was very emotionally invested in the presentation, having seen every movie presented other than Snow White and the Huntsmen which has yet to be released. In particular, the E.T. clips and music got to my girlfriend and I. Great stuff.

Just enough so that I can post our link to our petition :) Joking aside, we're wanting to go to Florida again soon so decided to get back into the forums and I liked the layout of this site better than the other site that shall not be named ;)

I just got back from the show and enjoyed it.

I think all shows should just show movie clips. I love movies - so maybe I remember more of them, and a non movie watcher may be bored and not relate to what is going on.

I agree there are limited fire works, but they are there. We had no problem finding a place to watch the show from.

So.. We will be staying at RPH in august and am curious now ton form my own opinion about this show. Where outside the park can it be viewed? thanks:dance3:

You'll be able to see the fireworks in the immediate area but you won't see the laser show outside the park. That part of the show can only be seen from the lagoon inside the Studios.
