In terms of lines is May a good time to go. Went last time to Universal in late July and the lines were horrible. Was thinking about staying on site this time but just cant see spending almost 250/night. Tried getting on universal's website to see if any discounts with room and tickets but I cant get the page to load. Has any one gotten a good rate on a room or a good ticket deal by staying onsite.

We've always been in late April/early May and the crowds have always been fine. Not empty, but not wall-to-wall people either. Some dates in May have annual pass rates available (APH). I've seen RPR for $139 a night. Annual passes are $179.95. You can get 5-day bonus passes for $99.95.

We booked the "Stay & Play" package. We're staying 4 nights at RPR, I believe you have to stay a minimum of 4 nights. The total price of the package is $800 (pre tax). That price includes 2 "length of stay" park passes. This actually ends up being a good deal for us. When you take out $200 for the passes, the room ends up being $600 or $150 per night. That's only $11 more a night than APH rates. :)

That sounds like a great rate (package) We're booked HRH 5/10-5/15 ($296 AAA)

I keep checking on line for better rates for that week and think the hotel is sold out :confused3 Universal site and orange vacations say I have to pick another date

I hope it's not too crowded :guilty:
