Oh - great pics! I am in the market for buying a new camera and this one sounds perfect. :goodvibes

I'm off to do some research to see if it's available in the UK yet. :hippie:

Thanks for the pics, Ali, and to Pooh_Friend#1 for posting them! DH is turning 4-0 in two weeks, and I think this would be a great gift for him!

nice pix Ali. was glad to see a couple of underwater shots. I ordered the camera yesterday.

I am in the market for a new point and shoot and would love to have a waterproof! Does anyone know if this camera has a rapid shooting feature (example 6fps)?

Thanks for the great pictures!

MAGICX2, according to the product descripton on amazon.com, it's a 1.1 fps.

Another question: The digital cameras I have had in the past all used AA batteries, but this one comes with a lithium-ion battery pack. Are there advantages/disadvantages to this type of battery?

WOW! Great pics! I want one before our next cruise...where is best place to purchase?

Yes, you don't have to keep buying batteries!! The canon rechargeable batteries are great. They'll easily make it through a day of shooting, and you can recharge every night while you sleep!

Question about the shark reef photos. Did you do any color editing or are those straight from the camera? With my Olympus, even using the underwater mode, I still had to do some color balance editing to get the true colors instead of the typical undwater blue hue.

I don't know if ehagerty did anything to them, but this camera does have an underwater mode which is supposed to subdue the blue. I've only tried it in the bathtub, so I don't know how well that function works yet.

I bought mine from Butterfly Photo, but someone on the underwater camera thread posted a website with a great price. I can't remember what it was, but it's at the end of that thread.

That was me. I found a good price $309 and free shipping at photoloon.com; but I got an email that "because of the value of the item, I had to confirm with a follow up call." I knew where this was going.....in the end they said they didn't have it in stock and it would come in 1.5 weeks. I'm holding on to the order for now since I'm not in a hurry. They said I could cancel if I found it in stock somewhere else. I haven't checked to see if it still says in-stock on their website. I do know that their accessories were way over priced...so don't buy anything else if you decide to get the D10 through them. I'll post again when it ships....

Ah man! I hope you get it soon!

I do use the "auto adjust" feature for each picture long enough to see if I agree if it is an improvement. For the underwater pictures, especially without sunlight above, the auto adjust did sharpen the picture.

I purchased mine online thru buy.com on sunday and the price was $309. on monday the price went up to $329. just got a call that the camera arrived today. can't wait to get home and check it out.
