I was wondering if it is OK for me to purchase our MYW tickets with park hopper now even though we are not going until December 27, 2014 thru January 3, 2015?

I know we got a 1 day ticket that was required for free dining (this was in 2008 or 2009 and we already had an AP). I saved it planning to use when our APs ended....but of course put it in that "safe" place and it was years before I found it and used it in 2013.

I don't think unused tickets have any expiration do they? I know if once you use a ticket it expires in 14 days, but I think you could buy it now and use it years from now. Not sure that's the wisest choice financially....and be sure to put it somewhere you won't forget, lol....but I think you could buy them now and if something happened and you didn't go in Dec/Jan that you could hold them for years. Disney would probably be thrilled to have your money and not have you use your ticket, lol.

Reminds me of the news article I read every Christmas about people giving gift cards and how it's some million/billion dollars of gift cards that are never used. That's some profit!

You're going at a very busy time, but the parks will be beautiful and the weather will be awesome. Enjoy!

right. those tickets are valid for 14 days after the first use...so the clock doesn't start till Dec 27 when you enter your first park.

Make sure you check the website to make sure it's an actual savings. Remember they say the savings are off GATE price, not the disney website. I've found that their prices are the same as disney site or sometimes more. Not sure why people buy these tickets.

Because when you include the tax on the wdw tickets it has always been higher. That has been since we started paying attention 11 years ago.

I don't recall ever seeing pricing differentials on Disney's own pricing. I do buy from UT, always a great savings.

this is true.

(and probably not the "best" choice financially, but i do wish i had bought several 10 days tickets back in 2005 or so. prices have doubled since then...so not a bad return...:) )

Undercover Tourist tickets have been our source of Disney tickets for years.
Their prices always beat the competition. The UT prices includes all taxes and free delivery. Never have had a problem using the UT source for any Orlando
attractions, especially Disney.

I bought our UT tickets prior to the last price increase () and we aren't planning to go until March of 2015. I've had these tickets since January of 2014. By the way I figure it, we saved over $100 on our six 5-day tickets. :cool1:
