Undercover tourist lines app

Its pretty good though you should edit your title.

Lines is another app from Touring Plans .com

But at least for the droid it has menus and maps with the line times.

Lines though includes FP return times, but you have to pay for it and it doesn't have the menus or maps.

I downloaded the Undercover app and I can't imagine it being that reliable since the wait times are entered by users and there isn't a time stamp. So even though it reads 30 for something you have no idea when that was entered.

I have the touringplans.com app Lines and have used it in the past and will again this Dec. App users in the park will enter wait times and FP times in real time with the time stamp. For example, you will know that the wait time at space mountain was 18 min long posted 5 min ago and the FP return time is 4pm.

Lines also has touring plans and recommended parks.

Lines app from Touring Plans is great and very accurate. It works off historical data plus user submissions. We have used it on our last two trips.

It's a pretty good app. You can get a sense of the wait times but the times change so often that it is not entirely accurate (although sometimes it is!)

Even the wait time at the ride isn't accurate though, and alot of people will submit times they see. Last week for TSM it said 90 minutes, the ride time said 40, but we only waited 20... go figure.

I used it this past summer and found it pretty accurate. Times change so often that no app is going to be spot on.

I used the lines app at Disneyland on 2 trips this year and it was pretty accurate. It is based on a mix of user reports and historical data. A couple of times it listed fastpass return times for attractions that were not using it that day so that info must have been historical.

My friends also said touringplans.com was the way to go. I'll definitely be checking it out on my next trip.

Do you need to subscribe to touringplans.com in order to use the lines app? If so, how do you do that? I am very new to all of this app stuff.....just got an iphone, and have never had an ipod or smartphone before!

You can download the app with out the subscription but it only gives you a sample of the data.

To buy a subscription goto touringplans.com ans sign up.

You need an itunes account to be able to get iphone apps. I use my wife's, which she doesn't like... but when ever I tried to get my own account something stopped me... I forget what but it was aggravating me.

Once you have itunes, you'll be able to download all the apps you want. Just make sure you're downloading the free ones. You can usually download a free version that has ads and stuff but is the same as the paid version... kinda like a trial.

downloaded the UT app a couple of months before our June trip and watched the wait times at various points in the day to help me plan certain attractions.

In general it pretty accurately reflected the posted wait times. I believe UT uses historical and user data. I input times several times while there and a couple of times received GPS requests from the app.

One morning Star Tours was having problems with three transports down. UT was showing a 15 minute wait. It took us 45 minutes. I input the longer time and a few minutes later the shown time was longer but not 45 minutes. Eventually the wait time lengthened on the site and approached the 45 minutes. That leads me to believe they hedge against user inputs that seem unusual.

Is a $10.95 subscription to touringplans.com worth it just to get the free app? We have been to WDW often, so don't really need help with a touring plan. Are there other benefits?

I don't use the touring plans at all, but love checking out the ride times. It's also fun to submit the times you see and earn the badges. I think it's worth it and on my last trip, I found the wait times to be more accurate than those posted by WDW. The crowd predictor is nice too, so you can see how crowded the predict each park will be. So for me it's worth it.

Today I was in a really boring conference and found myself checking out wait times for TSM... :rolleyes1
