Unbelievable

I don't think it is anything to get upset over. I call people by the wrong name on occasion. I switch up my kids names, or turn a name into some hybrid version of them. I have never said the wrong name to my husband, but the boyfriend I had before him had the same name so I'm pretty used to it!

OMG---that was a troll? You are kidding, I missed that one.

Yup. We were all very surprised. Oh the emotional scars! Ever since then, I've been accusing everyone of being a troll. Lol.

My husband and I have been married for 2 years. When we first started dating, he would call me by his exwife's name. Our names begin with the same letter) after many teary long drag out fights I thought he had finally stopped it. Until I saw an email that he had sent someone over the weekend and instead of my name, used hers. He had no answer when I showed it to him. He insists that he is over her, I think otherwise. Thoughts?

Does he also yell out her name when you're being intimate?

And honestly... I had a realtionship with a guy named Scott in High School ( my first love) and married someone named Scott. :rolleyes1

That's my name :lmao:

I was thinking about this earlier. I can remember 3 Becky's, but no other repeat names in my past :(

That could be REALLY awkward depending on the timing.

:rotfl2:

My MIL gets my and my niece's names mixed up all the time when we are all together. Our names are Savannah and Sarah, but to her they are Savarah and Sarvannah. Whichever portion of the name that comes out of her mouth last is what we rely on to know who she is talking to. :rotfl:

my brother calls me his dw's name all the time and he calls her mine.. its fun when all 3 of us are in the same room together we aren't sure who he's talking to half the time.

Thats why it is important to only date/ marry people with the same first name. Then you wont have to worry about it.
:thumbsup2

We know a man & woman who was married for over 20 years and had 4 grown kids. They ended up divorced and a few years later she met and married a man with the same first and last name as her ex.

Okay, in the event it is real, I have two thoughts.

1 is that I don't think it is a big deal for people to mix up names. I do it all the time. I call my kids by each other's names, their cousins' names, my husband's name, etc. I do it to my husband too. My mother in law is famous for it; she never gets names right.

2 IF you are that bothered by it, and it is a big deal to you and you are not going to get over it, I don't understand why you married him. You already knew this happens with him. It happened several times before you were married. Did you think having a ring on would make his brain suddenly recall names better? :confused3

I called my husband by our dog's name today.
Our dog is a misbehaving, man (especially husband) hating miniature pinscher, so my husband wasn't exactly flattered, but thankfully there weren't any tears.

I have a friend whose brother has either lived with or married 3 different Dianes. He has children with the two he married. :rotfl2:

If this is a real post, I am sorry. If it is just a troll.......popcorn::

I'll play! What was the email about? Was he saying what a great time he had with her last night? Maybe he was talking about her. :confused3

I've heard of twins and triplets but never parents.

:lmao:

:rotfl2::rotfl2: I didn't even catch that on the post until you pointed it out! Hmm...THAT could be a new interesting thread! Give it a year or two and I'm sure somehow it will come up.

I was thinking the pet name idea -- "babe, hon, sweetie"..... but was trying to get through the thread before I responded. However, the catch of being pregnant with parents got me.

My husband used to date a Mindy and I'm Mandy, and normally cant hear the difference when called by the other name unless someone corrects them self.

That's my name :lmao:

And to add more creepiness to this -- my first "boyfriend" was Scott in Kindergarten. :lmao:
