People, when u r eating at counter service YOU take your trash to the trash bins! Have witnessed this at POR several times in the last few days- people just getting up and leaving their trays! (People leaving their trash)

We witnessed the same thing at POR and POFQ on our past 2 trips. I don't know why people think it's ok to leave their trash behind.

I know that there are CM's working in the area wiping down tables and such, but really, how difficult is it to take your tray and trash to the garbage on your way out.

You physically have to walk past a garbage can no matter which way you leave.

I know what you mean. Drives me up a wall. Some people just can't be helped. They do it in concierge too. Leave plates and trash on the tables when there is a designated spot for guests to place them after they are done. They are too good to pick up after themselves right? I get really irritated when it is busy at a counter service and I have to pick someone else's trash up to have a table to eat at:rolleyes2

Tsk.. tsk.. tsk.. :sad2: I'm wondering if that's how they are at home. I'm wondering how dirty their house are.

I'm very sorry but some CL have NO spot to leave the "thrash". The CL we stay in uses real plates, cups, glasses and silverware and has no place to store the used stuff. I do feel very uncomfortable about this but just have no choice.
I tried knocking on the pantry door to give them my tray but the CM were not enthusiastic about this. They just told me to leave it on the table.

It's about the counter service. Not CL or congeries. Since the introduction of food courts at WDW, this has happened. People don't know what to do. I will not go on....as I could forever....but simple etiquette is good.

Please read the comment from sfbank. He/she mentions concierge.
But I fully agree clean up your mess. :rotfl2:

We were at the POR resort the first week of January and I am surprised this wasn't a problem for our stay. I have seen it during other vacations we have made to other WDW resorts. I find it hard to believe that people are confused as to the procedure when you see the garbage bins with the tray holders on top, filled with empty trays from people that practice simple etiquette.

At least they didn't use the dinning table as a baby changing station. I have seen this at a local fast food joint. Changing their baby's diaper on the table:eek::sad2::confused::confused3

You are to no more clean your table in the concierge lounge than you are if you're dining at Victoria and Alberts. Part of the job of the concierge hosts are to clean the tables.

::yes:: The same goes for counter service places in the parks, too. Take care of your own tray and food wrappers, plates, cups, etc.

Must be a national trend. I've noticed people leaving trays of their trash on the table at our local Chick-Fil-A, too. :sad2:

Could be a cross cultural thing - I've lived in countries where you are supposed to leave your tray and trash on the table. Took me awhile before I felt comfortable doing so and now I have to switch back to the "American" way!:rotfl:

Guess I should have said at the BWI they do have a table to put dishes after you are done. Ask Nascargirl and Kerry CM. They stay there all the time too. It is not someone's job to pick up my filth. I figure if my dd and her friend who have been doing it since they were 4, can pick up their trash so can adults. Sorry I mentioned concierge and did not keep it to park and resort problems because it is definately there too like I said

I think part of the logic they don't want to sit after someone before the table's been cleaned. By leaving the tray, you assure that the people behind you at least know that it hasn't been bused yet.

As to if I do it, bleh no, but I can understand the perspective.

Until two years ago we could clean up at the GF but for some reason they stopped this. But I fully agree, clean up behind your a....:thumbsup2

This is disappointing to hear. :sad2:
I know when i witness it when I go it'll make my blood boil. How rude can you be not to throw out your garbage. How entitled can you get? I work at a movie theater and see first hand people doing this and it boggles me how people can be so disrespectful. Especially if you have kids and do this. This is what you're teaching them? That this is OK? These are the same people that leave milk hiding behind cereal on a shelf when they decide they don't want it anymore, the same people that rip open comforter packages and take the comforter out to look and it and just leave it like that. Food service/Retail monkeys aren't your slaves. Act grown and pick up after yourself. I would feel embarrassed if someone had to pick up after me, I'm suprised so many other people don't feel the same way.
