I thought about this topic a couple of times during my trip and took these pictures:

My trip was May 5-18.

These two will make everyone happy:

Okay here's one this is outside of MK train station waiting to get in for opening. This is during our Sept29-Oct 6th trip last year.

For contrast, this is during the same trip on a different day at opening walking down main street.

I remember being in the AK during spring break in 2002 (I don't really remember which day it was), but the line for Kali was like 310 minutes!

Needless to say, we waited in line.

How many people do you all think trip on the pavement there? Just look at that!!!! I can just see myself falling flat on my face, especially by late afternoon when I'm just shuffling my feet!

We are going down August 31-Sept 8 anybody have any info on that week??

We have gone the week after labor day 2 times now (2003 and 2005). They were both extremely empty. Check the empty park pictures thread. This is good and bad - if you want some of the street performer action, then you probably won't find it. If you want a zero wait time (literally) for Space mountain, then this is a good time to go. When we went in 2005, the CMs inside space mountain were just standing there with cars lined up ready to go with 0 (that's zero) guests waiting. It was awesome!

OMG. I'm about to have a panic attack after seing the May 5th photo. We're going to be at Disney April 26th - May 6th - and if it looks like THAT at the parks we'll just be staying at the resort pool the whole week. My kids and I have mild crowd phobia, and I'm literally trembling from looking at that photo and imagining being there.

Perhaps this trip IS a bad idea. Ugh.

I go every year at this time, you will be fine. Just get to the parks when they first open and there will be no crowds. If you do am EMH, hop to another park when it starts to get crowded. Try to plan your parks on the day after PM EMHs. Everyone else should still be sleeping!

Well just remember you will always get those people/families who stop in the middle of the pavement/sidewalk and look at a map. That causes some people to move around others creating the image of a busy part of the park. Just a theory.

We will be there the first week of July '07. I will have some picture for this thread after we get back.

This is the exact same time we went last year. It was our first time so I have no reference but I didn't think it was THAT bad. Sometimes we had little to no wait and other times it was over 1 hour. We never got to ride Splash Mtn or Kali River Rapids because of the lines but we were OK with that. We knew we would be coming back. We utilized EMH in the morning and we did just fine.

When I was growing up, we always went to WDW in June/July/August.....It was so busy at some times that we waited upwards to 3 hours for some of the rides. Our last visit was in April and it was like nobody was there compared to all the other times we've been. I think the longest we had to wait for a ride was 30 minutes....and that was Dumbo and the Safari.

We'll be there too!! We'll bear the crowds together!!!! Should be great!! Only 22 more days and we're off to be pixie dusted!! We've been several years during the week of the 4th and did just fine!

Labor Day and the period around it is NOT bad at all! It may be a bit more crowded this year due to the free dining, but it's nowhere near some of the pics you're seeing here. It WILL be hot and you may need to watch out for hurricanes, though

We are going December 15 - 20 2007. I enjoyed your All Stars crowd pictures. But was wondering what the parks were like? I realize you may not have crowd pictures of the parks but wondered if you had personal thoughts on the crowd levels. Thanks!!
